Hyukjae had thought that this would be the best way to tell his hyung that he had decided to marry Kyuhyun. He had arranged a quiet dinner at Kyuhyun’s massive penthouse apartment but from the way the beautiful man had stalked in, hackles raised and eyes murderous and an apologetic husband in tow, Hyukjae just knew that it wouldn’t be easy

Not that he had ever assumed it to be it either.

“You want to marry this man Hyukkie?” Jaejoong demands after Hyukjae announces the news once they are all seated in Kyuhyun’s lounge room, soft music in the background and delicious looking finger foods in the three thousand dollar coffee table and hundred and fifty dollar candles lit around to enhance the calming ambiance that Hyukjae was going for.

It was clearly not working for Jaejoong.

“Yes.”

“You want to marry this man?”

“This man has a name and yes I want to marry him.”

Jaejoong is about to speak again when Kyuhyun gets up, “I know I’m not exactly prince charming and in no way worthy of Hyukjae-”

“You got that right!” Jaejoong interrupts as Hyukjae glares (squints his eyes) at him, not knowing whether to feel sorry for his fiancé or to laugh at Jaejoong’s maternal instincts flaring up. He should have known. Jaejoong always treats him like a baby and even though Jaejoong was married now, Hyukjae knew that he will always be number one in Jaejoong’s heart and Yunho only number two.

And that is why he will never bother the couple or give Yunho hyung a reason to hate him.

“But I love him,” Kyuhyun continues after taking a deep calming breath because he had never been interrupted
