"Oh no, I'm late!" you said to yourself as you quickened your steps. You've been working all night on your homework that you have forgotten to set your alarm clock. And now, your class is going to start in ten minutes.

 

You reached the campus' gate, and upon entering you heard someone call your name. You looked back and saw your bestfriend just a few steps behind you.

 

"Come on! We're going to be late," you called out to her. You stopped a while to wait for her, just then something caught your eyes, there's a guy standing along the line of the trees. You could tell that he's also a student because his attire is just the same as the other students. You could not tell whether you know him or not because he's a little bit far from where you are, but you could tell that he's also looking a your direction.

 

"Hey, come on! I thought you're the one who's in a hurry," your bestfriend nudged you who were already at your side.

 

You look at your bestfriend, "Do you know that guy?" You asked, pointing at the trees.

 

She looked at where you were pointing, "There's no one there," she said then grabbed your hand. "Come on! Now we really are late," she then pulled you with her.

 

You look back at where you saw the guy.. he's not there anymore.. "Maybe he already went to his classroom,"  you thought as you let your bestfriend pull you to your classroom.

The time passed quickly, its afternoon already and your last prof for the day has dismissed the class. You excused yourself from your friends that you won't be tagging with them for today because you're going to review at the library.

 

So you went out of the school building and headed towards the library. The library was located at the 4th floor of the main building. On your way to the main building, you remembered the guy that you saw this morning, because before reaching the main building you have to walk the path that is just beside the line of the trees. "Typical college campus," you thought.

 

You walk slowly while looking at the line of the trees. You felt so relaxed while the wind blew gently. Upon reaching the main building, you directly went to the library and started to review. You were so concentrated on what you were doing that you forgot the time. You only looked up from what you were reading when the librarian approached you to say that it’s already closing time.

 

You went out of the building, and was surprised to see that it’s already dark. You're not really afraid of the dark, it’s your imagination that you're afraid of. You can't help thinking of things that might go creeping in the dark.

 

You started walking, trying hard not to think anything scary. You looked at the trees, in the morning they are very much refreshing to look at, but now in the dark, the leaves and branches look like creepy hands ready to grab you. You quickened your phase because you really are starting to get scared. Just then, you bumped into someone... you were about to give a sigh of relief, happy that there are still students in the campus, but your breath was caught inside when you saw who was infront of you.

 

Infront of you are three male students, but the thing is they don't look like nice students.

 

"Hello miss," the guy at the middle greeted you with a crazy smile.

 

"Would you like to come and join us? For sure you'll enjoy our company," the other one told you wit a double meaning in his words. Then the three of them laughed like maniacs.

 

"Sorry, but I should get going now," you said, afraid.

 

"You don't have to worry miss, we won't hurt you. In fact, we'll make you feel real good," another guy said.

 

You're really afraid now; you saw that the guy at the middle was about to reach you, but just then someone stopped him.

 

"I wouldn't dare lay a finger on her if I were you," a voice called out. Not a scary voice but a very manly voice. You look at where the voice came from. There is a guy standing by the trees, you cannot see who it is because it's so dark.

 

"Mind your own business man! She's our friend," the mean looking guy shouted.

 

"Really?", the guy in the dark mocked. Just then, like a scene in the movies, a ray from the moonlight shined and illuminated the guy. Though his face was still shadowed, his earring sparkled at the moonlight.

 

When the three guys saw it, it showed on their faces that they knew him.

 

"Oh no, it’s the Vampire," one guy whispered and with that the three of them ran away.

 

"Vampire?" you asked yourself. There had been rumors that there's a vampire roaming the school, but you hadn't believed that because no one's bee bitten. Buy now that he's infront of you, you don't know how to react. He stepped towards you, but when you stepped backwards he stopped.

 

"You should go home now," he said in a low voice.

 

And with that you ran home.

It's been a wek since that "Vampire incident", and now you have realized how childish you've been.

 

"There are no such things as vampires," you told yourself. "I should have at least thanked him for saving me."

 

Today is the start of the foundation week, that only means one thing! NO CLASSES! But instead of enjoying the programs you found yourself walking on that path again, the part where you met the "Vampire".

 

"Not enjoying the programs?" asked a manly voice that you know very much. ThenThen from behind a tree, a guy appeared, now in the broad daylight you could tell who it is.

 

"Lee Jonghyun?!" You were really surprised. "Oh my. What is he campus crush doing here??" you thought inwardly.

 

"I thought you're going to run away again," he smirked.

 

You frowned but then you noticed his earring, its the same as the.... "Vampire?" you voiced out.

 

He started to walk towards you again but now you know better. You just stood there infront of him.

 

"You should be running away now," he said challenging you.

 

"There are no such things as vampires," you said defiantly.

 

"Really? But that's not the way you reacted that night," he said smirking. The he walked pass you.

 

"Wait!" you called out.

 

He stopped and looked back at you.

 

"Thank you for saving me that night," you said sincerely.

 

He turned and walked back towards you, but he didn't stop walking until he got you cornered on the tree. He leaned his face closer to yours. "Pretty little girls like you should not be walking alone at night," he said looking at your face then he whispered to your ear," this vampire might bite you and your blood."

 

"I know you won't," you said.

 

He just smiled at you.

 

"Thank you again," you said smiling.

 

He patted your head to your surprise, he straightened himself, "And next time just call me Jonghyun," he said. "Vampire is a very odd name," he added, smiling at you.

 

You nodded, mesmerized by the smile he gave you.

 

He winked and walk away.
