Chapter 8

It’s Tuesday, and as usual, Sehun picked Luhan up from their house. Sehun is walking faster than usual and he’s really quiet that makes Luhan more nervous.

When they arrived at Luhan’s classroom, Sehun faced him, “Be here at 5pm,” Sehun said and started to walk to his building. “W-Wait!” Sehun turned and face him. “What?”

“Are you.. You’re going to lock me up again?” said Luhan and pouted. Sehun raised his eyebrow, “Stupid. Let’s go home together.” Said Sehun and he then went to his classroom.

He says that we’ll go home together.. Does this mean— No, Luhan! It’s normal that friends go home together. Right.. but do friends kiss?!

“Hey, Lu,” said Xiumin. “I see you’re in deep thought huh?”

Luhan shook his head defensively. “No, nothing. It’s really nothing.” Xiumin laughed, “You know what I really like in you? You’re very bad at lying.” Said Xiumin as he smiles.

Luhan blushed in crimson red, unable to answer him back. “Umm.. Lu, you know.. you went home yesterday even before the classes started, um.. I was thinking.. can we have coffee on our way home? I really want to talk to you.”

“Umm.. Xiumin.. you know.. umm.. I’ll go home with Sehun today. He’s sick yesterday so he needs company when he go home..” said Luhan. Xiumin tried his best to not show his disappointment but Luhan still noticed it. “I’m really sorry..”

“It’s okay. Some time, then?” asked Xiumin. Luhan smiled and nodded.

During lunch, Xiumin and Luhan waited for Baekhyun in their classroom. “Luheeeeeen~” said Baekhyun. “I really envy you, you know?”

“Huh?” said Luhan, looking confused. “Here, and here.” Said Baekhyun as he hands him a long stemmed red rose and a bubble tea again with a note on it.

Luhan covered up the note before Xiumin and Baekhyun can read it. “Hey, Xiumin.. What’s written in the note?” said Luhan which surprised Xiumin.

“Uhm.. Here’s a red rose for you and a bubble tea. Drink it well.” Luhan look onto the note.

Here’s a red rose for you. I’ll never give daisies to you from now on. Want to know the meaning of red roses? Stop being pretty, it’s making me like you like crazy.

Sehun went to Luhan’s classroom and found him sitting in front of the door like a kid. “Are you a kid or what?” Sehun said as he went closer Luhan and give his hand. Luhan gratefully accept it but Sehun suddenly let go of it making Luhan fall down on the floor.

“Yah!” said Luhan, a bit mad. “I’m not asking for your hand, I’m asking for your bubble tea.” Said Sehun and raised his eyebrow.

“Why would I give it to you?! Go buy chocolate flavored one!” said Luhan. “But I like Taro too!” said Sehun and grabbed the bubble tea from Luhan and drink it.

“But..”

“What? Got any problem, huh?” said Sehun with his infamous glare. “How do you know it’s Taro?” asked Luhan which made Sehun cough. “Babo. Of course it will be Taro, it’s your favorite. Aish! Fine, I’ll just go buy chocolate ones. Let’s go,” said Sehun as he give the bubble tea back to Luhan.

Sehun started to walk but he’s stopped by Luhan, “Red roses means I love you.. But it also means courage, right? Is that why you won’t give me daisies anymore?”
