This isn’t right

“Hoya, what thing do you want to Come Back Again the most?”

“I’m Hoya. I wish Sungjong’s smile can Come Back Again. Sungjong is an adult in Korea now. I found out his natural smile has disappeared. Hope he can hurry and find his pure and bright smile back. And then take a picture with me with a smile”

This was an interview with Hoya from a Japanese Radio channel. And like what he said, Sungjong’s smile has disappeared out of nowhere, and the reason was because everyone kept on telling him that he was prettier than other girls-which is true-and that no one could see him as a man anymore, so he’s been trying to change not only his appearance, but his personality as well

“The winner is, INFINITE!”

“Ahh!” screamed the diehard inspirits as they watched them do their encore stage.  

They just finished their promotion with destiny and will start their ONE GREAT STEP next week. But before thry do that, they need to fix THIS first

“Man it was so tiring” said Sungjong as he sat down and placed his leg on top of the table. Then he took his ear set on and started listening to his music. Woohyun then started saying some nonsense, just so he could make sure that Sungjong couldn’t hear a thing on what s were about to say

“Sungjong didn’t bow after our encore stage! He’s been an since we’ve started filming Destiny in LA” Sungyeol stated as everyone nodded

Then Myungsoo said, “And I thought I was the bad guy here”

Sunggyu pulled down the zipper of his shirt. He just sat down and just quietly listened to his “Kids” complaining about how Sungjong’s been acting so assy all of a sudden. Sunggyu knew the reason why, but before he could tell the others about it, he needed to hear what Infinite had to say first

“He’s been bossing me around and telling me mean things too” Dongwoo said with a pout on his face

Then Sungyeol added, “And have you noticed that he’s been going to the gym recently?”

“Yeah! I’ve even seen him do pushups the other day too” said Woohyun as everyone had a shocked face

“I think he’s trying to be like Hoya and Myungsoo at the same time”

“Can’t you just understand our maknae? What if he just really wants to change the way people sees in him? If you were in his place you’ll understand” Hoya defended

“But come on, working out? Suddenly acting like a jerk? I don’t think that can help him change the way other’s think of him, well maybe not in a good way”

“Maybe your right Woohyun, but…”

Before Hoya could say anything else, the chodding stood up to stop him and said, “Don’t you miss the cute and Bubbly Sungjong who dances better than other girl groups? Or did you prefer the badass version of him?”

“Well, I do wish that he could go back to his old self but…”

“See! Even you miss it”

“The point is we’re just worried about Sungjong because his change isn’t working out for him. Well yeah he might have gained popularity because of his cold-prince feel (Myungsoo style), but even without the popularity, he’s still our favorite maknae” Woohyun stated

“So everyone who hates the new Sungjong say I” asked Sungyeol as everyone replied to him in agreement, well except for Hoya. He was the only one who was supporting his maknae change, even though he knew that it was wrong, it was still Hoya’s nature to support Sungjong in any means necessary

“Then what will you guys do? Stop him from doing his plans in changing?”

Dongwoo had also realized it and said, “Well Hoya’s right guys, what should we do?”

“I know what you guys need to do”

Sunggyu finally stood up and went in front of the 5

“Do you know something Sunggyu?”

“Yeah, the only thing that could change Sungjong back is Lee Byung Hun”

”L.Joe?” asked everyone in unison

Then everyone’s mouths were now open on the sudden realization

L.Joe! He was Sungjong’s boyfriend ever since trainee days. When Infinite went to Los Angeles, Sungjong haven’t made any contact with him anymore

“Did something happen to those guys when we left Korea?” asked Myungsoo in curiosity

“They broke up”

“What?!” Everyone suddenly screamed in total shock

Then Dongwoo scratched his head and said, “But, they were so…lovey-dovey with each other, what happened?”

“They broke up before we left to LA. And the reason was because Sungjong couldn’t take the criticism anymore, and he thought that the only way for him to totally change is by breaking up with him. Look, when they were together, Sungjong was always happy, but now that they’re not together he has a reason to rebel and act like what he is now. And come on, every time Sungjong wasn’t smiling L.Joe would be there to make him laugh”

“Wait, why do you know so much about this?“ Woohyun asked

“Because Sungjong talked to me about this matter before leaving to LA”

“What!?”

“I know right, he broke with L.Joe on the exact same day we were leaving, and on text. That’s why they didn’t really talk about the problem properly”

“No, the reason why we’re shock isn’t because of that, we’re shocked because you were the one he talked to rather than us. What does he see in us?! Non-love experts?”

“Calm down Sungyeol”

Everyone was suddenly quiet for a few minutes, thinking of what they could do to stop Sungjong from rebelling like that. Everyone was brainstorming because it wasn’t only for Sungjong’s sake. It was also for their sake because they were so sick of it.

After a few thinking, Dongwoo suddenly had an idea

“I know!” said Dongwoo as he literally jumped off his seat

“What is it?”

“Why don’t we make Sungjong and L.Joe be back together?!”

"That's a..."

“No…”

Everyone suddenly looked at the right and saw Sungjong standing up

“Y-You heard us?”

“I pretended to not hear anything because I knew that you were going to talk about me again, and the answer to your stupid plan is no. Because I am never going to be with L.Joe again…NEVER”

Sungjong took his things then left the dressing room

Everyone was just really shocked on what Sungjong just said. After 6 years of being together with L.Joe he’d suddenly break up with him because he wants to change the impression of what people see’s in him? It wasn’t Sungjong at all! He didn’t really give a damn about what others thought of him, if he was having fun then he’ll just go with it, if he was being criticized he’d go to L.Joe and ask for comfort and if not he’d talk to infinite and they’d help him ease his stress. But why all of a sudden right? What struck Sungjong to act like this all of a sudden?

“What the Myungsoo! Can’t you hurry it up!?”

Sungjong was banging on the bathroom door because Myungsoo was taking too long with his bath. It was by age when they were taking a bath so Sungjong had to be the last one to go. It was a typical day in Infinite’s dorm. It was always like that even before Sungjong turned into...THAT

“Here you go sir” said Myungsoo as he gestured his hand to the bathroom. Then Sungjong pushed Myungsoo off the door and angrily went in

Today was Infinite’s rehearsal for their OGS in Seoul. Well…that’s what Sungjong thought

“Finally done…”

Sungjong went out of the bathroom, drying his short brown hair up with the towel. He went to his room and noticed that Sunggyu and Myungsoo wasn’t there, and so did the rest of the members

“Did they just ditch me!?” said Sungjong as he threw his towel on the floor. He couldn’t believe it but then again it was infinite. They could ditch someone if they wanted to, and they proved that on Sesame Player

“They are so dead!”

Sungjong took his phone and called Sunggyu

“Yoboseo?”

“Don’t you hello me you old man. Where are you and why did you leave me here!” screamed Sungjong making Sunggyu turn his phone away from his ear

“Sorry Lee Sungjong but you really need to change your attitude of yours”

“What the hell are you talking about?!”

“This is for your own good maknae!” screamed Woohyun making sure Sungjong could hear it

“Well I need to go, I’ll just tell you what we did today ok?”

“Wait Lee Sunggyu! Ya!”

Sunggyu hanged up making Sungjong throw his phone on the bed.  After that he threw himself to the bed as well and closed his eyes on the stress he was feeling

“When you’re down, have some lemon candy” whispered Sungjong as he was reminiscing about the past.  Sungjong wasn’t really the jerky type, even he was frustrated on how he was acting, but what could he do? Everyone saw him as someone who couldn’t even take care of himself. He started hearing people say that he was depending on Infinite and L.Joe too much, so maybe he felt that he was a burden to them and started acting like that, trying to push them away from them in any cause. When he was with L.joe he was definitely happy, but something was pulling him down, making him feel the opposite way, he felt sad about the relationship

“Lee Byung Hun…”

While Sungjong was daydreaming, the doorbell suddenly rang. He lazily stood up from the bed and said, “Coming!”

As he reached the door knob, he opened the door and was surprised on who was standing in front of him

“L.Joe?”

“Dongwoo-hyung called me and said that you were alone and sick, are you feeling ok?”

L.Joe was about to reach Sungjong’s forehead to check his temperature but Sungjong quickly pushed L.Joe’s soft hands before doing so

“What the hell are you doing here?”

“Didn’t I already tell you? Dongwoo-hyung said that…”

Just after hearing Dongwoo’s name, Sungjong already knew that they planned this. Even though he already told them that Sungjong would never go back to L.Joe’s care

“Forget about what that dino said because I’m fine. Now leave”

Sungjong was about to close the door when L.Joe suddenly stopped it with his feet

”Aren’t you even going to offer me some tea for the effort I made just to check if you’re ok?”

“We don’t have any tea and I didn’t ask you to come here anyway so why would I?”

Sungjong was trying to close the door but L.Joe still didn’t remove his feet on the doorway

“Can’t we just talk…about us?”

“There’s no “us” anymore Lee Byung Hun, and there will never be an “us” again so please leave”

L. Joe finally removed his feet on the doorway, making Sungjong slowly close the door. When it was completely closed, Sungjong was about to return to his room when suddenly

“You broke up with me through text and when I wanted to talk to you about it I found out you left to LA. Then when you returned to Korea I still couldn’t talk to you because you were too busy with your Destiny Promotion, and when I tried to call you, you wouldn’t even answer or text me a message. Then after that, what? You’re going around the world and you’re going to leave me again. I’m already starting to think that faith’s been keeping us apart. Why did you break up with me Sungjong? Did I do something wrong that made you break up with me? For a week you didn’t talk to me, and when you decided to talk to me you broke up with me, why? You even changed. Do you think I don't watch you on the television? You couldn’t even smile anymore when you were performing. You used to enjoy that Sungjong…why are you doing this to yourself?”

Sungjong didn’t answer. He wanted to open the door and apologize to what he did to L.Joe, for breaking up with him for no good reason, but he couldn’t. Being with L.Joe just made him hurt more

“What do you want me to do then Sungjong? Should I kill myself so that you could forgive me with something I don’t even know about?! Huh Sungjong?!”

L.Joe finally burst in anger. He was so angry to see how Sungjong acted and ignored him even though he was already giving his all

“What do you want me to do Sungjong?! Ya! Answer me!!!”

“Leave…Lee Byung Hun”

Then Sungjong finally went to their room. He tried not to think about L.Joe anymore so he fell asleep…but he failed. Because he fell asleep with the image of L.Joe in his head

After 4 hours of sleep-thinking. Sungjong finally woke up. He went to the bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror. His eyes were all swollen and his hair was messy. I guess this was the effect of sleeping while your hair was wet

And it was still too early for Infinite to return from their rehearsal. If Sungjong just knew where Infinite were, he’d be going their immediately. If he asked his manager, for sure Infinite would stop him from answering him, so what's the point?

"Whatever", said Sungjong as he went out of the bathroom and proceeded to the kitchen

“Man I’m hungry!” Screamed Sungjong as he opened the fridge and searched for anything to eat

“How about me? Aren’t you going to ask me if I’m hungry too?”

Sungjong’s eyes suddenly widened as he heard L.Joe’s voice from the outside

Sungjong quickly closed the fridge and went to open the door. As he opened the door he saw L.Joe cleaning Sungjong’s shoes with his handkerchief

“What the hell are you doing here?!”

“Look, I cleaned all your shoes, I know what’s yours because I gave you half of the one’s you own. And you wear the other one’s on our previous dates, you like it? It’s squeaky clean!” said L.Joe as he pointed at the clean shoes in front of him

“Didn’t I already tell you to leave?”

“No, I didn’t agree on that. Like our breakup”

L.Joe stood up and cleaned himself up

“Now can we talk?”

“No…now go”

Sungjong was about to close the door again but L.Joe suddenly pushed it open and entered the room. As he entered, he locked the door up and looked at Sungjong’s eyes deeply

“We’ll talk whether you like it or not Lee Sungjong. You’ve been the lead for too long, now it’s your turn to follow me”

L.Joe pinned Sungjong on the wall, making sure that he can’t escape from his grasp

“I waited for 4 hours outside your dorm, so you need to listen to what I have to say and you have to answer everything I’m asking, do you understand?!”

“Let go of me Lee Byung Hun! If you don’t I’ll call the guard and tell him that…”

“Why do act like this Sungjong? What happened to my cute lover? You never laugh, you never smile. You don’t even respect your members anymore”

“He changed L.Joe” said Sungjong as he was trying to push L.Joe off him but failed

“Do you remember before? When you found out I was a girl group addict? You forced yourself to memorize their dance and you told me that if I wanted to watch I should just call you because you’ll personally dance it for me. And the lemon candy, I told you when I was a kid my father kept on giving me lemon candies every time he leaves abroad just for me to stop crying. Then after that you kept on eating lemon candies too because you told me that it felt like you were with me that time and it helps relieve your stress. And when I was asked if I wanted to star in We Got Married with Suzy you got so mad to the point where you’d ask Myungsoo to do it instead of me. And that smile…man that wonderful smile, the smile that could make my day every time the manager would scold me…where did that go?”

 Then Sungjong pushed him and finally escaped his grasp, “I don’t want this anymore L.Joe. What happened before is already a part of the past, because I already moved on, you should too”

“No…this isn’t right”

“You being here already isn’t right! So leave me alone L.Joe. If you’re complaining about me breaking up with you through text then let me tell you face to face. I am breaking up with you Lee Byung Hun because I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE…Araso?”

Rather than replying with words, L.Joe suddenly kissed Sungjong’s lips. At first Sungjong was struggling, but after a few seconds he didn’t move anymore.

After the passionate kiss they shared, L.Joe suddenly looked straight into Sungjong’s eyes and said, “Now look into my eyes and tell me straight that you don’t love me anymore?”

Sungjong was quiet for a few seconds when suddenly he slapped L.Joe and said, “I don’t love you anymore…now leave before I really call the guards”

“Do you love someone else? What’s the reason!?”

“I just simply don’t love you anymore…”

“Is this really what you want Sungjong? Think again! Please!”

“I’m sure L.Joe…now go”

Sungjong was pushing L.Joe to the door but L.Joe was preventing Sungjong to do so, “Think again Sungjong!”

“LEAVE! PLEASE!”

Sungjong finally pushed him outside the door. L.Joe kept on banging the door, trying to get in but Sungjong ignored him

“Sungjong! Tell me again! Tell me you still love me Sungjong!”

Tears suddenly fell from his eyes as he stared at the door in front of him. He sat down in front of the door as he listened to L.Joe scream his hearts out. Then it stopped. He checked if L.Joe was still their but he wasn’t, Sungjong was happy and sad at the same time

“Gamsahabnida!”

“Ahh!”

“Sarangheo Inspirits!”

The OGS in Seoul was finally over, and after a few days they’ll be heading to Hong Kong to have their second world tour. But before leaving, someone wanted to say goodbye, even for the last time

“I can’t believe you Sungjong, when we were performing Man in Love you weren’t even smiling! And you made a mistake in most of our songs! Are you insane?!” said Sunggyu as he scolded Sungjong again for the third time

“I’ll do better next time” Sungjong answered as he slowly sat down

“Do better next time?! That’s what you told me in our rehearsal! Can’t you think straight? You’re like a dancing balloon with no air! Ah! You’re so frustrating it’s stressing me out!”

Sunggyu angrily scratched his head and left the dressing room

“Sungjong, are you ok?” asked Hoya as he sat down beside him

“I’m fine Hoya”

“Here, have some…” Hoya gave Sungjong a lemon candy with a wide smile on his face

Sungjong gave it back to him and said, “I don’t need it”

There was an awkward silence at first but Hoya suddenly changed the atmosphere and said, “So, I heard about what happened the other day from L.Joe”

“…”

“I know this isn’t the right time for me to talk about this but I couldn’t talk to you at the dorm because we were all busy. So I guess this one’s the right one…what really happened Sungjong? I want to hear it from your own mouth”

“I told him I don’t love him anymore and that it’s over”

“But is that what you really feel Sungjong?”

Sungjong didn’t answer but avoided his eyes from looking at Hoya

Then Hoya reached for Sungjong’s shoulder and said, “Tell me Sungjong, what do you really feel? What’s the real reason why you broke up with him? I’m here for you Sungjong so tell me”

“When I’m with him I’m happy…but a part of me is sad as well. Everyone sees me as the happy-go-lucky maknae, but I’m not deaf Hyung, I can hear what others really think about me. They say I’m weak and I can’t stand by my own, at first I didn’t think about it much but I suddenly realized that I’m just burdening L.Joe. I don’t want to make L.Joe a shield every time someone’s attacking me”

“I know you want to be dependent Sungjong but are you happy with your decision?”

“If it’s for his sake then…”

“Have you even asked about what Byung Hun feels?”

“It’s time for him to look for a girl who’s worth protecting. Let’s face it Hoya, our relationship wasn’t going to last anyway. L.Joe’s not like me, he could fall in love with a girl in no time. I can’t give him everything Hoya and you know that. I’m afraid that maybe one day he’d ask for something and I could give it to him anymore”

“L.Joe’s not like that Sungjong. And if he was he would have left you 6 years ago. And look at Sungyeol and Myungsoo” Hoya pointed as Sungjong saw them fighting over a piece of pizza

“When you look at them you wouldn’t even see them as a couple. Yes they have a lot of differences, and they fight a lot too, but look at them again…”

Sungjong looked at the two and saw Myungsoo give the whole peice of pizza to Sungyeol but Sungyeol broke the pizza into two and gave the other half to L

“They look like buddies if you ask me, but that’s what lovers are for. They act you best friend, your partners in crime, you brother. But in the end he’ll still be your lover”

Sungjong took a deep breath and said…

“Thank you so much Hoya”

“Ahh!”

“Huh? What’s happening outside?”

Infinite suddenly went out of the dressing room and went back on stage. They kept on hearing the fans screaming, they thought everyone already left

“What’s happening?” asked Sunggyu as he saw Sungyeol, Dongwoo and Woohyun smile

As infinite was now in front of the stage the lights suddenly turned off

“What’s going on?” asked Sungjong

“Just wait…” Woohyun replied

Then a spot light was suddenly on the middle. Everyone was waiting for someone to arrive, then their they found the culprit who started this ruckus

“L-L.Joe?!”

L.Joe took the microphone and said, “Can you smile? niga wonhajanha. Niga barajanha, Nae mam maneuroneun. Neol jabeul suga eomneungabwa ”

When L.Joe stopped, Sunggyu suddenly said, “What the hell is he doing? And why is he singing our song?”

The spotlight was now turned off and music was now playing. Then the lights suddenly opened making everyone scream in excitement, it was Teen Top

“What the hell are you doing Lee Byung Hun?”

“Sungjong, I know that what you said wasn’t real. And I am not allowing you to leave Korea again without telling me your true feelings. I want you to smile and see you enjoying your performance, I want the old Sungjong back…”

L.Joe held Sungjong’s cheeks and continued, “I love you…Lee Sungjong”

“Ahh!!”

Screamed the sailing shippers

“Pabo…”

Sungjong smiled and continued, “I still feel the same way...I love you too Lee Byung Hun”

“You finally smiled”
