Chaprter 7: Love, Friendship and Family

While JS was packing his luggage to go to Japan, his mom knocked in his room and opened the door to talk to him. “JS, is JB ok?” JS mom asked  and seated in JS bed “by the sound of it not really. I am not sure what is the Chairman planning this time that she needed JB to go to Japan and also for JB to asked me to go there with him”. JS responded to his mom JS looked at his mom with an apologetic eye  and said “Omma Mee-ahn-hae, I didn’t even asked you if you need me to help you  next week since I have a week and half off from school, I just decided to go to Japan and be with JB.

“You don’t have to be sorry; I know your friend needs you more than I need you this time. Besides your In young noona is here to help out anyways, if she has any question she can just call you. To be honest with you I am very worried about JB too, since his parents divorced the responsibility put in his shoulder is just too much for a kid his age.” JS mom said. “Omma, did I tell you that I love you and noona so much and that I am thankful that you’re always there for me not just as a mother but also a friend.” JS said to his mom which was coincidentally heard by his older sister In young. “I love you too little brother, what’s with the luggage? Going somewhere?” In Young asked “I’ll be going to Japan tomorrow, JB called and it seems like “the chairman” is up to something, JS replied to his sister. “isn’t she always, anyways it’s good that you’re going to Japan then; you can meet the client that I was supposed to meet actually I was going to ask you to go instead because I needed to prepare for the shareholders' meeting in two weeks”

JS mom stood up then hugged and kiss JS forehead then said “See no need to apologize for not being able to help, you going to Japan will actually help your noona and you will also be able to be with your friend.”  JS stopped packing and just hugged his mom and noona and said “Just in case I haven’t told you yet, I Love You both and I am thankful that I am part of this family”. The two people that he is hugging right now are of the two important people in his life, though his dad passed away not too long ago they were able to move on and be there for each other like how his father wanted it to be.

The next day, JS called Sora early in the morning to let her know that the plan has changed, instead of leaving on Monday he will be leaving this morning instead.

“Hello” Sora answered the phone half asleep. “Hello, Sora it’s JS I am just letting you know that I won’t be able visit you today, I had to move my flight to today instead of Monday.”  Sora was fully awake when she heard JS “Oppa, is everything ok, why did you have to leave today?” Sora asked “as it turns out i needed to go to Japan anyways for a business meeting, and beside I think you need time to be alone and think right now, sort out your feelings and maybe decide on what you need to do. Who know JB and me not being there will actually help you clear your head” JS said to Sora. “I hope so, this is way too confusing for me and I am really thankful that you were there to listen to me. ” Sora responded back to JS. “Anywyas have a safe trip Oppa and take care” Sora said and hung up the phone.

 JS was just quietly recalled his conversation with Sora from the previous day and sighs heavily and thought to himself “love, friendship, and family can be the most rewarding and complicated relationship there is”.
