sunggyu wasn't a very romantic guy or even that much of a sweet guy, but he's kind of quirky and knows that myungsoo likes stupid romantic things like that, always the more romantic one of the two. myungsoo relishing in his ideals about love and shojo like romances that when they had first gotten together, sunggyu was a bit at a loss, especially since he didn't really know how to woo anyone, unless being able to woo someone with intelligence and snarky exchanges were the way to go. but myungsoo hadn't been like that, had never been like that, so it was a bit nervewracking at first for him to find himself liking his dongsaeng who always got so starry-eyed during romantic comedies and cried his eyes out over uber predictable romantic dramas that were supposedly meant to pull at one's heart strings. 

it had been insane really since myungsoo may have been good looking, but he wasn't his type. but myungsoo had always been cute and a hardworker and always gave him so much respect that it wasn't even funny that it was hard not to have a soft spot for the kid, but love? yeah, sunggyu hadn't really thought that had been in the cards for the two of them, until his feelings began to change and he started seeing the kid in a new light. 

so when it came to actually confessing and getting the other to like him, sunggyu had to really dig deep and try a bit harder than he usually did when it came to the people he wanted to date. but it was myungsoo and myungsoo was worth it. and while myungsoo had loved all things romanctic and just kind of wanted that fairy tale romance that was always predicted in those disney movies, sunggyu knew he had to try his best.

but luckily, myungsoo knew he wasn't going to get something like that from sunggyu no matter how hard he tried or dreamed about it. because sunggyu just wasn't like that, would never be like that, but that never stopped myungsoo from falling for the older boy anyway. especially when sunggyu was oh-so-good at making his heart beat faster and causing him to blush, head forced down so that his hair could shield his eyes, to keep him from being too obvious to the other. because sunggyu obviously couldn't like someone like him who was actually kind of immature, was too naive, and wasn't that smart compared to some of the other girls that sunggyu had actually liked in the past. his love for hyuna quickly coming to mind, showing him that he didn't have a chance at all. 

but sunggyu had known anyway, because that's how sunggyu was. and while sunggyu had no clue about what he should do about it or how he should even tell the younger boy about his crush, he couldn't help but want to try something stupid like eskimo kisses or even those asinine butterfly kisses that were becoming more and more popular throughout the years with the younger boy. a thing that sunggyu usually wouldn't be caught dead doing, but the gesture was sweet and he was sure that myungsoo would like it and he just literally had no clue on what he should do to say he liked the other boy.

so when the chance had arrived, the two of them finally alone for the day for some hyung-dongsaeng bonding time, sunggyu couldn't help but convince the other to try something with him. only for him to suddenly grab the back of myungsoo's neck and pull him a bit closer until their faces were barely an inch apart, myungsoo's warm breath smelling minty fresh against his mouth, sunggyu couldn't help but smile a bit when he had began to rub their noses together. myungsoo's nose twitching in response and gaze showing confusion and shock and beyond that sunggyu could even notice the wonder and want within the other's eyes. 

letting his nose rub against myungsoo's for a few more seconds before giving a soft sigh in content before letting the back of myungsoo's neck go, sunggyu finally pulled himself away from the younger man. a slight blush was on his face as he wondered why he had decided to do such a thing, barely thinking about doing it until it was already over with.

while myungsoo could only stare at him before softly and shakily asking, "w-what was that f-for?" as his heart felt like it was going a mile a minute as he hadn't been prepared for sunggyu to do something like that to him. especially since he thought sunggyu didn't know of such things and if he had, would never do them to someone like him.

feeling a bit embarrassed for letting his feelings get the better of him, sunggyu could only turn his head to the side, fingers twitching as he muttered, "no reason, just wanted to try it, you know?" 

feeling his heart stop at the other's words, at how nonchalant the other was about what had just happened, signifying that it hadn't meant much and that myungsoo was just the other's guinea pig, myungsoo found himself nodding before letting his gaze fall to his hands. his body going quite still at his sudden thoughts, the nervous energy that had just plagued him seconds before was now gone as the the space between them felt more than a bit stifling.

cursing himself for letting himself get caught up like that and letting his feelings sway his thinking, myungsoo did his best to ignore what sunggyu had just done by saying the only thing he could grit out, "okay."

while sunggyu couldn't help but chicken out, just like he always did, not knowing what to say or do to make myungsoo think that he actually meant it and that he really did like him and that he wanted to date him and that he could tell he that he like him as well and that they should be kissing and hugging and doing everything that couples did that sunggyu almost felt himself blurting out his feelings. only for something to keep it back, because while sunggyu wasn't a very romantic person, he was also a very stupid and cowardly person too. 

he could only change the subject, "movie?"
