"Is this the extent of our love?" Tears sprawled from her bloody shot eyes. Exhaustion ran through her system. She couldn't take it anymore, the pain, the pain of love, and war. With her question lingering, she spoke again. "Was I just your little pawn?" Once again no answer was followed. Her heartbeat was the only sound she could hear. The thumping seemed earpiercing. Frustration fueled her body and gave her enough energy to confront the male causing her aggravation.

"Mark, answer me!" Said guy didn't move a muscle, until a few seconds later when he heard the thump of her falling to the ground. He tried helping her up. "Don't touch me!" she hissed and threw punches at his chest and anywhere she could reach with her fists.

Mark knew she was tired of it all, so was he. But he knew, nobody would be at rest in the kingdom until Prince Jaebum was found. The war seemed never ending, but everyone knew that once the prince was reinstalled in his rightful place Amirrith would be in turmoil.

"Why can't we go back to how it used to be?" The young woman on the ground cried out. She knew the answer to her question, but why? Was fate that cruel as to not let them live a happy life, together. Up until the war hit their relationship had been fine. "You should've just left me in that tower to rot!" At this the young man reacted and walked towards the girl and pocket her up. The sleepy young woman kicked the air. "Put me down!" She wanted to get away from him. It hurt her too much.

"Don't!" The seriousness in his voice caused her to cease her kicking. "Ever say that again!" And with those words spoken, Mark leaned down and kissed her. She immediately felt warm pleasure pump through her veins. "I love you," he managed to whisper on her lips between their kisses. Her heart swelled with happiness.
