The paper was smooth under your fingers, the edges where it was folded to fit in the envelope denting some of the foreign words. Your skills in reading the beautifully printed language had increased greatly since he began writing to you in Korean, even though he did know English. 
Wu Yifan. He was your best friend, the one person you could trust with all your heart, the one who swept you off your feet through years of talking. 
And yet, you've never seen him once. That's right, you had never really met you best friend, or even seen him. The most you had gotten from him in terms of visuals were the occasional printed photo cards, depicting the handsomely chic face you associated with him. 
The letters he wrote you were also send and written by him, filled with talk and secrets, words exchanges by best friends. 
Yifan was your very own pen pal, the one person you loved the most.
