Dong Nayoung sighed as she took one last look in her vanity. A ding from her phone told her that her friend had sent her a fourth message.

From: Ginnie
To: Nayoungie

Are you done yet?! Stilling waiting for you at the club! Don’t make me come to your house and drag you out!

She didn’t want to admit it, but tonight Nayoung just didn’t feel like going out. Even though it was their girls night out that only came around once a month, it felt incomplete without his eyes on her, longing for her to stay for just a little bit more, his gaze lingering just a bit more than usual as she got ready.

Messy curls framed her small face as she pouted at her reflection. She’d already gotten her hair and makeup done, all that was left was for her to find something to wear. As she dug through her closet, nothing looked appealing to her. Although they looked perfect when she had tried them on at the store, they now looked like they were lacking.

It’s missing his touch.

Nayoung flopped onto her bed, the thought of him bringing out an unconscious smile on her lips. The way he laughed when something on TV was funny; his lingering scent that always seemed to stay even after days had passed since he had set foot into her house; his strong hands that brought her closer when they had their Friday movie nights; the distinct way in which he carried himself which made him so noticeable even in a crowded room. She had remembered everything about him, recognizing him from the way his back looked when he stood still to the way his body moved when he danced. Getting up and stripping down to her underwear, Nayoung went to one of her drawers, digging out the t-shirt that she had smuggled out of his house the other day when he wasn’t looking. It was one that she had seen him wear quite frequently, but she was also sure that he wouldn’t even noticed until she would mention it. It’s not that she was some creepy stalker girlfriend, but it was lonely when he had to go abroad. He went for long periods of time and when she did see him after he got back home, he would be exhausted and it was creepier to watch him sleep rather than stealing his shirt. She knew that he missed her just as much as she missed him, but sleeping off the jet lag when your girlfriend especially came over to cook you breakfast didn’t really say ‘I missed you like crazy too.’

Slipping the white fabric over her head, his smell came flooding into her senses, bringing her a feeling of comfort and security that only he happened to give her. Curling up in a ball, Nayoung started to drift to sleep with his image in her mind when her phone sang out the ringtone she had set on him. The him. With a smile on her face as she didn’t even bother about her disrupted sleep, she practically pounced on the device as she hit the answer icon.

“Are you ready yet? Haha, the girls are already calling to tell me that you’re late.” His husky chuckle sent shivers down her spine as she sulked a bit. However, the more she played his words in her mind, the angrier she felt.

“That’s all you’ve got to say to me? You’ve been gone for three weeks now, not even a call from you, and the first time you call you ask me why I’m late hanging out with the girls and not going to the club? Not even a ‘miss you’ or even ‘have you eaten yet?’” Nayoung was quivering in anger, tears threatening to spill, trembling from the force of her nails digging into the flesh of her palms as she was trying to not be too disappointed in her boyfriend that had apparently forgotten her existence until that moment.

“I do.” he gently said.

“What?”

“I said ‘I do.’ I’m missing you like crazy right now. Teasing you just to get that part of my thoughts away from dominating all that I do is what is keeping me sane right now. Nothing that I do feels right when I’m not with you. Heh, even when all I have to do is listen to some presentations and sign some papers, knowing that you’re so far away from me is driving me to a whole new breaking point. You’re horrible, y’know that? You make me into this horrible cheeseball and yet you’re not even trying to reassure me or anything. The boys are in the next room too. I’m risking my man card here, and yet no response from the person responsible. Isn’t it too cruel? Nayoung-ah, give me a response, something at least. Even a laugh is fine! I sound like a loser saying all of these drama-like lines in this deserted room.” Even though he really was a bit upset, Nayoung could still hear the teasing tilt in his voice.

“Yoseob ---”

“Finally! She speaks!” Nayoung giggled as his mood took a 180 degree turn.

“Whatever. You’re a major loser. You’ve been neglecting my calls and texts, you should be teased by the guys by saying all those things. You can’t send me one text saying how you are, but you can say all those cringe worthy things like it was nothing? Yang Yoseob you’ve got some nerve if you think I’m letting this go that easily…”

Nayoung heard Yoseob sigh at the other end of the line, something that the man hardly ever did. “I just told you Ms. Dong, you’ve ruined me! I can’t think straight and do all of these unnecessary things like sighing out of no where, thinking and counting down to when I can see you. I’m doing business in freaking Rome for crying out loud and all I can think about is how it would be nice for me to see you laughing right now, or feeding you something off my plate when I can’t even enjoy the scenery. It’s not even fair to know that at least you have access to my house while I really have nothing but a couple of pictures where part of your face shows or a group shot where you’re practically unrecognizable.”

Knowing that he was suffering as much as she was made her feel a little bit bad, but at the same time made her feel a great sense of pleasure at the same time. “So Mr. Yang…”

“What Ms. Dong?” he sounded a bit agitated as she could imagine the man impatiently tapping his leather covered foot as he waited for her to continue.

“Well, don’t you want me to tell you why I was so late in meeting other men at the club with the girls?”

“No, I’m not really interested in your plans of cheating on me. Nor do I care about your rashness of making bold, reckless, not well thought out plans of revenge on me.” Anyone else who had heard him would have thought that he said it in all seriousness, but knowing him, Nayoung knew he was a little bit mad and immensely jealous of all the possible wandering eyes that would be on her if she was to go on time.

“Too bad. I’m going to take my chance since I finally get to talk to you.”

“Nayou-”

“I missed you too. Even if you’re retardedly spouting lovey dovey nonsense out of your mouth, I missed you like crazy too. I was debating all night if I just wanted to cancel on the girls tonight. I even did all of my hair and makeup, getting all nice and pretty. Heck, I even wore my best lingerie and everything.” Nayoung heard him gulp at the other side of the line and fought back the urge to more with details. “But, when I was getting dressed everything that I tried on looked awkward and mismatched. Even with my three hundred dollar heels, nothing looked good on me. It felt like I was missing something important.”

“And what was that?” Yoseob’s voice was husky as he sounded as if he already knew what she was going to say, only needing her to confirm his thought.

“What else could it be? You. I was missing you. I felt like an idiot, trying to dress up when you’re not even here. I miss it when you’re not looking at me like a puppy who wants their owner to stay at home all day.”

Yoseob rich laughter was so inviting that Nayoung couldn’t help but laugh along with him. “Hahaha, aren’t you being a little narcissistic Ms. Dong?”

Nayoung faked a gasp as she lightly chided back. “What’s with this nonsense Mr. Yang? It’s not narcissism if it’s true!”

“Yah! It’s not true! I swear G.Na noona purposely made this stupid ‘Girls Night’ only when we started to date.”

Nayoung giggled at his continuous petty comments about how ‘Girls Night’ was just a conspiracy against him since he and the guys kept making fun of G.Na’s age. “Anyways Mr. Puppy, I didn’t even feel like going out tonight so I am now curling up on my bed with a t-shirt on.” Nayoung sing-songed as she pulled a pillow close to her chest.

“...So what you mean to say right now is that you’re wearing nothing but a t-shirt right now? As in… no… undergarments…?” Realising her mistake, Nayoung blushed a deep red as her face got warmer and her body temperature rose inside Yoseob’s shirt. “Ms. Dong? From what I know, girls usually wear t-shirts that are long enough to cover everything. But judging from what I know about your wardrobe, you don’t have anything like that. So how’d you get the shirt Nayoungie?”

“I-I… S-say something that makes sense! You’re still blabbering nonsense Mr. Yang! What do you mean where did I get it, for all you know I could’ve just recently bought it!” Nayoung mentally slapped herself for stuttering, but patted her back for coming up with a believable lie.

“You say that as if I didn’t notice how you were breathing deeper than usual.” Yoseob teased with an I-got-you-now tone. “What if I told you that I saw something the other day while I was packing? Or rather something that I didn’t see?”

Nayoung groaned as she let herself fall backwards onto her bed. “What are you trying to say Mr. Yang?” she asked grudgingly, bracing herself for the onslaught of teasing that would most undeniably come her way.

“What I’m saying is… I want to see you in my t-shirt.” Nayoung could already feel the beginnings of a blush coming on as she buried her face into the cool side of the bed, trying to prevent her blush as much as she can. She smiled into the sheets as Yoseob continued. “Ahh, if I could I would replace your clothes with mine so that everyone would know that you’re mine because you would constantly be in my clothes.” Her smile got even bigger when she heard this because it was not everyday that the great businessman Yang Yoseob showed this much possessiveness towards her.

“And what would this accomplish? For all the other people would know, it’s how I normally dress.”

“That is the accomplishment. You would wear it so much that other people would think it’s just your usual dress. But for the people close to us and to ourselves, we’d know what it would mean. I don’t care how others view it, but it would be obvious the moment we were together that you belong to me.”

“Bold words Mr.Yang,” Nayoung giggled as she pictured him with a smile on his face. “But the question is, ‘what would make you think that I would even agree to this?’ Not to mention, this may be the last time I wear this shirt since now that you say it, it gives such a feeling of being trapped.” She slyly said, smiling when she heard his loud gasp at the other end of the line.

“You wouldn’t dare!”

“Oh, but I would and you know I would.” She smiled even wider as she heard shuffling feet and the sound of a door opening and closing.
