AN. Just letting you know, this fic is set in the time where cities were just beginning to be developed and when rural areas were still living like in the olden days… around the time when cars were just invented and when the social classes were still quite defined. Im not really going very deep into these things but I still need to tell you so yeah.

Also I have no idea about pregnancies and all that stuff so some of the stuff I wrote probably isn’t very accurate but it’s a ff so whatevs.

Anyways have fun reading :)))))

Sungyeol turned in a circle, trying to figure out which way was the right way home. He sighed when every direction of the forest looked exactly the same. Feeling tired and weary from all the walking he did, along with the heavy basket he was carrying, Sungyeol decided to find somewhere to rest.

He walked a little way before he found a small cave. Sungyeol set the basket of wild berries and herbs down before sitting down himself. Not long later, Sungyeol's tiredness caught up with him and he fell asleep.

By the time Sungyeol woke up, it was dark outside. Stumbling around in the dark, he managed to find some dry bark and leaves. With a bit of trouble, Sungyeol finally started a small fire which lit the tiny cave. Feeling thirsty, Sungyeol left the cave to try and find some fresh water.

Walking around the forest in the dark, Sungyeol didn't make it far before he tripped over something. Groaning, Sungyeol pushed himself up, only to notice that what he tripped over was a human body. The other body groaned as well, indicating it was still very much alive. Hurriedly Sungyeol turned the body around.

"Are you alright?" Sungyeol asked worriedly. The man opened his eyes slowly and tried to see who was talking to him but couldn't see much in the dark.

"No I'm not." The man croaked out. "I hurt my leg and my whole body is in pain."

"Oh... let me help you." Sungyeol replied.

With that he put his arm around the man's shoulder and pulled him into a sitting position. Sungyeol then hoisted the man's arm around his shoulders and lifted him up into a standing position. Slowly, and with occasional painful groans from the injured man, Sungyeol walked back to the cave.

At the cave, Sungyeol dropped the man gently onto a bed of dry grass. In the light of the fire, Sungyeol could see the man's attractive face marred with red cuts, probably from sharp branches. His clothes were ripped in some places and there was some blood on his right leg. He also had a canteen hanging from his waist.

"Hey." Sungyeol called the man, who grunted in reply. "What's your name?"

"Woohyun." The man managed to say.

"I'm Sungyeol." Sungyeol replied. "Okay Woohyun, I'm going to check your injured leg."

After saying that, Sungyeol moved to look at Woohyun's leg. He cleaned the wound with some water from Woohyun's canteen and wrapped it roughly with a bit of cloth hanging off Woohyun's clothes.

"That's all I can do for now. You'll have to wait till tomorrow morning for me to take you to my house and get it fixed properly." Sungyeol told Woohyun, not mentioning the part about how he was a bit lost.

"Thanks." Woohyun replied softly. Minutes later, he had fallen asleep on the somewhat soft grass bed.

Sungyeol smiled lightly at the sleeping figure. Woohyun was really good looking and Sungyeol couldn't help but feel attracted to the other. A moment later, Sungyeol lied down next to Woohyun and fell asleep as well.

~~*~~

The next morning Sungyeol woke to find himself lying on top of something soft and moving. Blinking sleepily, Sungyeol looked up to see a handsome face staring back at him. Immediately Sungyeol sat up, feeling his cheeks warming. Turned out that during the night Sungyeol had moved to place his head on Woohyun's chest.

After Sungyeol felt his cheeks return to their normal temperature, he turned back to Woohyun. Woohyun was still lying down, of course, and was looking at Sungyeol with amusement in his eyes and a smirk. Sungyeol opened his mouth to give a greeting but Woohyun beat him to it.

"You're cute." Woohyun told Sungyeol bluntly. Sungyeol gaped and his cheeks warmed up again.

"G-good morning." Sungyeol stuttered.

"Morning cutie." Woohyun replied with a wink.

Sungyeol gulped and scrambled up. "You sound like you're fine now. Maybe you should go by yourself."

Woohyun chuckled. "Don't be like that Sungyeol. I won't be able to live if you leave me."

Sungyeol took a deep breath and turned around to help Woohyun, only to find that the other had already gotten up. Woohyun limped a few steps before gravity decided to pull him towards the ground again. Luckily Sungyeol caught Woohyun before he could fall.

Sungyeol blushed lightly while Woohyun chuckled. Silently, Sungyeol put Woohyun's arm around his shoulders and held onto Woohyun's waist with his own arm. Then the two walked out of the cave.

Out in the forest Sungyeol blinked a few times, still not knowing which way to get back to his village. Woohyun sensed the others confusion and smiled, speaking up.

"I know how to get to your village." Woohyun said.

"What?" Sungyeol mumbled, embarrassed that he was lost.

"I passed it while I was hunting and unlike you, I still remember the way there." Woohyun told Sungyeol with a grin.

"Oh..." Sungyeol said, as Woohyun began leading him in the right direction.

"So what would have happened to you if you didn't run into me?" Woohyun wondered while they walked.

Sungyeol shrugged. "Either I would have made it back somehow or my family probably would have come looking for me. So what were you doing here?"

"Like I said, I was hunting. I wasn't being careful and tripped on a hill, rolling down it." Woohyun said.

"Well good thing I found you then." Sungyeol said with a smile.

"Yeah." Woohyun replied.

After about half an hour of walking, the pair managed to finally make it back to Sungyeol's village. Sungyeol's mother was standing outside his house and came running to Sungyeol and Woohyun as soon as she saw them.

"Oh my, what happened here? Sungyeol do you know how worried I was when you didn't come home last night?!" Sungyeol's mother scolded Sungyeol while helping Woohyun walk.

"I'm sorry Mother, I got lost. But then I found Woohyun. He hurt his leg while hunting." Sungyeol apologised and explained Woohyun's condition.

"Oh let me take a look at your leg young man." Sungyeol's mother said as Sungyeol placed Woohyun in a wooden chair inside his small house.

"Thank you ma'am." Woohyun said politely with a smile.

Soon Sungyeol's mother had disinfected Woohyun's wound and wrapped it with clean white cloth. Sungyeol then helped Woohyun into his room, laying him on the bed.

"Sungyeol, is it only you and your mother living here?" Woohyun wondered. The house only consisted of one main room, a bathroom and two bedrooms.

"Yeah. My father passed away a few years ago due to an accident." Sungyeol said as he sat on the edge of his bed besides Woohyun.

"Oh... I'm sorry for your loss Sungyeol." Woohyun mumbled sadly.

Sungyeol shook his head with a smile. "It's not like it was your fault."

The day passed with Woohyun mostly lying in bed to recover while Sungyeol talked with him. When Woohyun took naps, Sungyeol went out to help his mother with chores, cleaning the house and making meals.

When night time rolled around, Sungyeol bid his mother a good night before retreating to his own room where Woohyun was. Now Sungyeol had a problem. His bed was big enough to fit two people but he didn't want a replay of what happened this morning, when he woke to find himself curled on top of Woohyun.

Sungyeol was standing by the bed, trying to decide what to do when Woohyun grabbed him by his hand. Sungyeol looked down with a startled face while Woohyun looked up with a sweet smile.

"Aren't you going to sleep?" Woohyun asked.

"Y-yeah. I am." Sungyeol stuttered, suddenly flustered.

With a sudden jerk of his hand, Woohyun pulled Sungyeol down, so his was lying on top of him. Sungyeol gasped as there was barely any space between their faces.

"Why don't you sleep with me then?" Woohyun whispered seductively. Before Sungyeol could reply though, Woohyun had pressed their lips together roughly.

At first Sungyeol was still, but soon he felt his body responding as he gave in to his urges. Before long, the room became heated as clothes flew around the room and suppressed moans echoed around.

~~*~~

Two weeks passed with Woohyun recovering fully. Over the fortnight, Woohyun and Sungyeol got closer, never leaving each other's side. Sungyeol's mother however was diagnosed with a fatal disease and her health was decreasing at an alarming rate.

When Woohyun was fully recovered, he told Sungyeol that he wanted to leave. Woohyun said he was an important and highly successful businessman in the city and it was only normal that he needed to return and manage his business. Sungyeol was reluctant to let Woohyun leave, but he understood that Woohyun couldn't possibly stay with him in his village forever.

"Sungyeol, I promise I'll come and get you within a week. I'll take your mother to get treatment as well." Woohyun promised to Sungyeol before he left.

"I'll be waiting for you Woohyun." Sungyeol mumbled as he hugged Woohyun tightly.

Woohyun patted Sungyeol's back before pulling away. He gave Sungyeol a peck before getting on the truck that was taking him back to the city. Sungyeol stood on the road and watched as the truck slowly disappeared.

"I love you Woohyun." Sungyeol whispered as tears rolled down his cheeks.

~~*~~

A week came and passed with no sign of Woohyun. Sungyeol's mother's health fell drastically and three weeks after Woohyun left, she passed away. Sungyeol was devastated. Both his parents had left him and the only loved one he had left had disappeared.

The weeks following his mother's death, Sungyeol lived in house alone. Every day he woke up hoping that Woohyun would be back for him. However as time passed, Sungyeol slowly started losing hope.

Then one day, Sungyeol woke up in the morning only to feel the need to vomit. At first he thought it was because he'd ate something bad but as the feeling came every morning, Sungyeol decided to go to the local doctor to get it checked out. What he discovered came as a total shock.

It was announced that Sungyeol was pregnant and had been for two and a half months already. Sungyeol couldn't believe this piece of information. Although he knew it was possible for him to become pregnant, the thought had never even occurred to him that he would actually be pregnant. There was without a doubt who the father was either. Sungyeol had only ever done the deed once and that was the first night Woohyun stayed over.

Sungyeol lied in his bed, tears falling onto the pillow as he thought about everything. Woohyun promised to come back for him in a week but its been two months already. And now Sungyeol was pregnant with his baby.

Suddenly Sungyeol felt anger rush through him. Who the hell did Woohyun think he was to just abandon me? He even made me pregnant. He had to take responsibility for this. With these thoughts, Sungyeol decided he wouldn't just sit and wait anymore. He would go to the city and find Woohyun.

It wasn't until Sungyeol arrived at the bustling city with meagre belongings, that he realised he hadn't thought this out well. He didn't know anyone in the city except Woohyun but it's not like he knew where Woohyun lived either. He actually didn't know much about Woohyun except his name. Sungyeol had some money but it wouldn't last too long if he needed to rent a place and buy food as well. He needed to find a job but he didn't have much experience and the city was all about experience as he soon found out.

So for a few days Sungyeol just walked around aimlessly through the city streets, not sleeping at night and only buying one meal a day. The fatigue of not sleeping or eating and being pregnant soon caught up with him though. Before he knew it, Sungyeol was swaying and he fainted on the side of the walkway.

At this time, a young handsome looking man was walking past. As soon as he saw Sungyeol, he rushed over to see if he was alright. Despite the situation, the young man couldn't help but feel like his whole world had stopped as he gazed at the face of the unconscious boy. The young man shook his thoughts away as he picked the boy up and carried him to the nearest hospital.

At the hospital, the doctor did a check on Sungyeol and when he finished, led the young man to his office to tell him what was wrong.

"Young man, did you know the patient is about three months pregnant?" The doctor started, straight to the point.

The young man's eyes widened and he gasped slightly. That beautiful angel was pregnant already?! He felt his heart falling but pushed the feeling aside as he listened intently to the doctor's instructions.

"It seems you didn't. Well you need to take better care of him. The patient hasn't been eating well and his body has been stressed from fatigue. Both of these things are not healthy for a pregnant person. So when the patient is released, please make sure to give him plenty of nutritious food and allow him to have sufficient rest. If he does not get these things, the baby may be put in danger." The doctor said seriously.

The young man nodded with a solemn look on his face. Even though the young man wasn't the one who was taking care of the pregnant boy, the young man really wanted to. The boy just seemed so fragile and innocent that the young man immediately felt protective over him.

The young man was directed to the boy's room and left alone. The boy was awake now and looked up at the young man with wide questioning eyes.

When Sungyeol awoke, he found himself in a foreign bed, in a room. He looked around before recognising it as a hospital. A few seconds later the door opened and a nurse walked in with a guy. The nurse left soon after leaving Sungyeol with the guy. When Sungyeol looked at the guy, his eyes widened as he took in the guy's handsome appearance. The guy was insanely good looking, with smooth skin and perfect features. Sungyeol felt his heart beating faster and he tried to slow it down by speaking.

"Wh-who are you?" Sungyeol stuttered out in a quiet voice. The young man smiled a dazzling smile as he replied.

"My name is Kim Myungsoo and I took you here after I found you fainted on the walkway." Myungsoo explained.

Sungyeol's mouth made an 'o' as he realised what happened. "I'm so sorry for troubling you Myungsoo. And I'm Lee Sungyeol."

"It was not a problem Sungyeol." Myungsoo assured as he shot another smile at Sungyeol.

"By the way, why were you walking around by yourself? It seems you don't have a place to stay..." Myungsoo continued as he pointed towards Sungyeol's bag of personal belongings.

Sungyeol felt his heart clench as he remembered the reason he was at the city. He looked down as he felt moisture build up in his eyes.

"I... I am looking for someone." Sungyeol mumbled.

Myungsoo felt the sadness coming from Sungyeol and sat down on the edge of the bed. He felt his heart hurting when he saw the crystal tears hanging from Sungyeol's beautiful lashes.

"Are you, by any chance, looking for your husband?" Myungsoo asked quietly. It was sad to think about, but if Sungyeol was pregnant, he was probably married too.

"What? Husband?" Sungyeol replied in confusion.

"Since you're pregnant, I thought..." Myungsoo muttered, feeling a bit embarrassed for asking such a personal question.

Sungyeol let out a humourless chuckle. "Oh no. I'm not married."

Sungyeol was going to elaborate but the nurse came back and told Sungyeol he could leave. Sungyeol was going to say he didn't have anywhere to go when Myungsoo cut in and said Sungyeol could come with him. Sungyeol tried to protest but in the end, went with Myungsoo.

Myungsoo took Sungyeol to his small one storey house and told him to sleep in his bed.

"Rest up and I'll make you some chicken soup." Myungsoo told Sungyeol before leaving.

Sungyeol smiled a little at Myungsoo's kindness soon fell asleep in Myungsoo's comfy bed.

A few hours later, Sungyeol woke up and was met with the sight of Myungsoo looking at him from a seat next to the bed. A large bowl of soup was on the bedside table and smelled so nice that Sungyeol's stomach grumbled. Myungsoo chuckled and grabbed the bowl of soup while Sungyeol sat up with a sheepish smile. Myungsoo lifted the spoon and held it against Sungyeol's lips. Sungyeol blushed a bit before speaking.

"I'm not paralysed or anything. I can feed myself." Sungyeol mumbled. Myungsoo only smiled.

"I want to." Myungsoo said, trying not to blush.

In the end Myungsoo fed Sungyeol the chicken soup while both of them tried not to feel too awkward. Despite only knowing each other for a few hours, they felt very comfortable together.

After Sungyeol finished eating, Myungsoo cleaned up before coming back and sitting next to Sungyeol on the bed. Myungsoo was still curious about Sungyeol's story but didn't want pry. Thinking about it, Myungsoo decided he would ask but if Sungyeol didn't want to say then that's alright.

"Sungyeol..." Myungsoo started but then paused because he didn't know how to phrase it.

Sungyeol however seemed to know what Myungsoo wanted to say. "You want to know why I am pregnant and why I was walking around right?"

Myungsoo looked embarrassed but nodded. "You don't need to tell me if you don't want to."

"It's alright. You should know since you're looking after me now..." Sungyeol informed Myungsoo with a small smile. Myungsoo didn't say anything and just waited patiently for Sungyeol to start speaking again.

"I already told you I'm looking for someone right?" Sungyeol asked. Myungsoo nodded.

"Well the person I'm looking for is the father of my child." Sungyeol stated bitterly.

"I used to live in a rural village with my mother. One day I went out to pick herbs and berries but I got lost. While I was finding a place to pass the night, I found him. He's name is Woohyun by the way. He was hurt so I took him to a cave I found. He said he'd injured himself while hunting. The next day he said he knew the way to my village so we walked back. I'd found him really attractive and in the heat of the moment we just ended up... doing it. That was the only time I ever did it and I can't believe I got pregnant from just that one time." Sungyeol said, frowning at the end.

"A few weeks later, after Woohyun healed, he said he wanted to go back to the city. He said he was a really successful businessman. At the time I thought I loved him. He said he would come back for me after he got settled again. He said he was going to come back... but he never did." By now, Sungyeol's voice was wavering as he thought about Woohyun's broken promise. A few tears fell from his eyes and ran down his cheeks.

Myungsoo felt his heart hurting at the sight of Sungyeol's tears. Sungyeol seemed so nice and innocent but he was taken advantage of by some rich bastard. Myungsoo suddenly felt really angry at Woohyun.

"Then my mother fell really sick and she passed away soon after. I was so sad I just stayed at home all day. But then I started feeling nauseous every morning and when I went to the doctor's they said I was already two and a half months pregnant." Sungyeol's shoulders shook as he started sobbing. Myungsoo's heart couldn't take this so he wrapped his arms around Sungyeol tightly while trying to calm him down. Sungyeol wrapped his own arms Myungsoo's waist and cried into Myungsoo's chest.

"I couldn't stay in my village so I left. I wanted to come here and find him so he could take responsibility for his actions. But I didn't realise how hard it is to find a job and place to live. Honestly if you d
