Kwon Yuri is a 21 year old college student who majors in psycological matters. She has been tasked with a project by her college lecturer to adopt a teenager from the Sunflower Adoption Centre to find out what is actually going on in the minds of people who was left, abandoned or unwanted. She was assigned with a young 19 year old teenager, a boy with a head strong personailty and cold icy walls that were built around him to make him look strong. She forced herself to stand in as his mother but failed, a lot of times. It was not what she was doing but how the boy reacted towards her. She doesnt know if he hated her because she was trying to be a mother figure to him or what they felt as just them. She wont deny that she had feelings for him but she knows that it was just not right to adopt a child and fall in love with him. He's two years younger. She doesnt want to let go of that feeling but she doesnt want to hurt herself either. Anyways, she has to be separated from him after one year. After she completes her essay and project, she'll be leaving Korea.

He's the teenage boy from Sunflower Adoption Centre. He has been staying there for almost his entire 19 years of living. He doesnt know what happened to his mom but he knows his father had passed away. He always visits his father's grave from time to time to find peace in himself. He loves both of his parents but he doesnt know why he ended up abandoned here. He always had thoughts about his mother. Why didnt she take him wih her? He's her son, what kind of mother would leave him alone. He cries himself to sleep every single day and wakes up cold and silent. The only person he opens up to is his counsellor, Park Jisoo. A guy he treats like a blood-brother. When he got to know that he was going to be adopted for a project, he didnt like the idea at all. He hated it as he felt like he was an object people would use temporarily. He acted irrationally and was rude. Hence, the effort made by his guardian made him open his eyes and feel the love. He felt it too much that it sinked into his heart and stayed there. He wants her to be his.

"Hi. Im Yuri. Im from Korea's National College. Im going to be your guardian from now on. Any request or advices on how to approach you or take care of you?" Yuri sat there waiting for an answer from that gloomy looking face which was decorated with sharp flaming eyes.

 

"Just one." He whispered under his breath but it was loud enough for Yuri to hear. 

 

"Tell me then. Ill do my best to fullfil it," Yuri said with a cherry tone as she adjusted her hair to the side and made herself comfortable. She was happy that the guy finally started talking as he was muting himself throughout the whole journey from the adoption centre to the campus. "Faster tell me."

 

He looked up to her who was sitting there anxiously waiting for an answer. " Dont try to act like my mother. I hate it." He said and went out of the room.

 

Yuri sat there a little taken aback but she tries to understand how he must actually be feeling.

"Please introduce your child Kwon Yuri." The lecturer said as he sat back at the teacher's table.

 

Yuri looked at Minho who had a cold expression on his face. As much as she wants to show love and care like a mother, he hated it. He doesnt want anyone to replace his mother but it was part of the project. She cant do much about it.

 

"My son is.... an ice prince. He doesnt talk much and so. It will take me a long time to actually know what he is thinking about but," Yuri looked at Minho as they had an eye-contact. "I know with love and care, he'll open up to me. " Yuri smiled at him who looked down immediately after she finished her sentence.

"We'll do an agreement then." 

 

"Okay call." Yuri said as she sat opposite him.

 

"I'll open up to you about my thoughts and what not but i wont talk about anything else. Just my past, how i feel and whatsoever. Im doing this only because you have an exam you have to ace."

 

Yuri took a few seconds to think. "Okay i like it. But. You have to listen to mine also. "

 

"Okay go on."

 

"Please let me act as your mother. Just for a year."

 

"No! I told you many times. Dont ever try to be my mother. I hate it!"

 

"But it's part of my project. I have to write on how i felt during the period of time i was a mother. You have to push aside that ego of yours. Please!"

 

Minho just looked down on the floor not saying anything. He stood up slowly.

 

"Where are you going now?" Yuri asked as she looked at him.

 

"....I'm going to think about it." Minho said and ran into his room.

 

Yuri smiled to herself. She knew that his heart is slowly opening up to him.
