TAEYEON’S POV

I’m here at the park with my lovely eye-princess.  It’s Friday. We always have this Friday night outs where we hang out just the two of us. It’s been a tradition between the two of us I guess after 7 years of friendship. We always make time for each other to meet every Friday night especially me, even though sometimes I get caught up with my school work and my part time job.

Oh yeah! I’m a working student, I work at the nearby restaurant. I don’t really have to work, I just want to because I want to be independent for some reason. Tiffany always tells me to stop because I have all the money in this world but… I still continue to work because it gives me time to think about life.

“Tae-tae?”

“Taeyeon?”

“KIM TAE YEON! “

Oh snap. I totally forgot I’m with her.

“Yes fany-ah?”

“Tae, do you have a problem? You can tell me anything you know that? You space out a lot these past few days. “She said while turning her body to me.

“Oh, I don’t have a problem. I’m just thinking about life… you know me.” As I give her my best grin.

After all these years. Gah! I’m still inlove with you. What am I supposed to do?

“fany-ah? What if… “

“Tae? Tae? What if what? “Her eyes are looking back at me with the hint of confusion.

“What if… I tell you I’m inlove with someone?” Sigh, here goes nothing.

“What?! Who’s that? I thought I’m your wife?”

Ohmaygahhhh! You’re killing me so much without knowing it.

“Who? You… “

"Me? I know that, I'm not your wife for nothing..." 

"No, Fany-ah. I'm serious about it... its not just about our game wife-wife or something.."

“Me? Tae… are y-you serious? Or… I misheard it. “She said with wide eyes, the feeling of shock and confusion is written on her face

That wasn’t what I planned. It slipped. I said it out loud. Eotteokae! I have no choice anymore.

“Yes. Fany it’s you. The first time I saw you. Remember when you almost fell because you were running but then I was on time and I caught you. The first time I laid my eyes on you I don’t know how or why… it’s something beyond my control. If it was just me I wouldn’t want this to happen because I know it’s gonna be awkward and all that… but I fell for you, out of all the girls. It’s you. The smile that you showed me when we first talk, I fell hard for that. It’s you Tiffany Hwang Miyoung.”

“Fany-ah, can you be my girlfriend?” I ask her with the slight hope of her saying yes.

“No…” she sighed “Can we be just friends? And nothing more than that? I’m begging you.” She said as she cries

“Hey… don’t cry. It’s not your fault, okay? It’ll disappear soon. We will still be friends or best friends whatever you want to call it.” I said as I give her my biggest grin, I try so hard. It hurt.

“Really? I’m so sorry, Taeyeon. I love you but not in that way. Jeongmal Mianhae”

“Hey. Hey. Hey. Listen to me, it’s not your fault, okay? Let’s just forget what happened. Smile now, please?” I said cheerfully

“Okay! Thank you.” She still sobs but not that hard anymore.

“Let’s go home. I’ll walk you home. It’s getting dark.”
