Forgets
ForgetHave you ever forget something? Or someone? A part of your memory just disappear without you realizing? I hate it.
I get back home from work. As soon as I opened the door, he pounced on me and planted kisses all over my face.
"Jonghyun-ah! You're home!" Jinki squealed. I smiled at his cuteness.
I put him down and the both of us slumped onto the couch, laughing. "Oh Jonghyun, you're home!" It started again.
"I am home. Happy?" He nodded.
I was busy trying to complete my report when I heard Jinki sobbing. It started again. I immediately rushed to our room to see him crying in the
corner. It always breaks my heart, seeing him so vulnerable. And yet I cannot do much about it.
I hold him in my arms. He was so fragile in my arms. Like a glass doll.
"It's okay hyung, I am here."
"Why am I so forgetful?"
"It's not your fault. I am here, you don't have to worry about anything."
"........"
"Jonghyun, why am I crying again?"
It was like this ever since I laid my eyes on him. He forgets.
I remember the time I first talked to him.
"Hi, my name is Jonghyun. Yours?"
"It's Jinki."
"Oh."
"Excuse me, but what is your name?" He asked again. I raised my eyebrow, wondering if he was fooling around with me.
"He has a short-term memory loss." Was what Jinki's best buddy, Minho told me as soon as I declared my love for Jinki.
"He forgets. Almost everything. He just remembers me. Don't say I didn't warn you."
You remember me yet?"
"No."
What about now?"
"No."
"Now?"
"No."
So it took me seven years. For him to remember me. For him to know me. For him to love me. And I'll never let him go. Even if he forgets me.
Never.
