to all the boys we couldn't get over

Foreword

At first I felt a little overdressed the second I stepped on the plane. My long beige trench coat that hide my tuxedo dress beneath teamed with my black ankle boots and beret had seemed a little out of place when I’d boarded the plane since most people inside consisted of elderly people or a family with their children that didn’t seemed like they care much about their appearances. Even so, they gave me the look, the one that seemed like they judge my appearances from head to toe. The kind of look that I hate the most. Did I go a little overboard? How did youngsters in Seoul dresses themselves anyway? I don’t mind being different but I hate it when people stare at me like that. The thought was demoralizing. But as soon as I landed I found out that I worry for nothing. They didn’t dub Korea as fashionable country without any reason; most people were fashionable enough for my standard. Then what did I see back in the plane? Well anyway, Maybe I could stay here longer.

I shoved my hands inside the pockets of my trench coat, winter in Korea definitely not friendly at all. It even colder than in the states. Or maybe it just me.

When I came out from the immigration, someone was already waiting for me holding a cardboard with big fat words written on it ‘WELCOME HOME SOOJUNGIE’

I smiled at the familiar face, even with my 5 inch heels my best friend still towered over me. I ran and launched myself on him; he chuckled and caught me before he spun me around.

“Hey princess. How was the flight?” He asked as he flashed a grin at me.

“Horrible” I groaned and rolled my eyes when he put me back on the ground. “That what I get from 12 hours flight with economy class” He gave me a sympathetic look. It was a look reserved for anyone crazy enough to travel across the globe without the comfort that first class flights offer. “That must be , your dad cut all your cards?” I nodded my head at his question “You do know that you can ask me or Sulli to help you on this right?”

I sighed heavily “You have no idea, I’m trying my best to run away as soon as possible from there after I heard that news” I told him. My voice betrayed far more of my sorrow than I had intended. I mentally berated myself for being a downer at his crestfallen look.

He dragged my luggage to his car where a driver already waited for us. The driver hustled out to take my luggage from him and after he opened the car door for me. I slipped in.

“Sehun, where is Sulli?” I asked as I pointed at the cardboard that he held with my chin. That big bold handwriting was definitely hers. He chuckled “She’s busy preparing your room, you have no idea how happy she was when she heard that you’re coming back,”

I smiled at the thought of my Sulli making a big fuss of my sudden comeback, but my smile faltered as I remember him. “Then how about him? Did he know I’m coming?”

Sehun tensed a bit before he looked back at me and gave me a sad smile “He didn’t know. He didn’t know, Soojung”
