Origami
Description
Jongin likes to smoke on the balcony, mulling over his bad days and letting anger consume him. And then a paper crane lands by his feet one night.
Foreword
Jongin opens the door to the small office compartment that he shared with Tao. It is dark, the only light coming in from the one window with blinds covering half of it. Monday morning, the most hated time of the most hated day in the week. His fingers graze over the lightswitch habitually, flicking the switch and turning on the light. It flicks twice. They need to replace the light bulbs.
The first thing he sees is a strange looking origami animal on Tao's desk, and sweeps it off of the table. The latter is right behind him, too busy on his phone to worry about the light in the office, but he stops when he sees Jongin holding the origami.
"Did you make this?" Jongin asks.
"No, my friend from the origami class made it." Tao says. "He's a really cool guy - I'd bring you to meet him, but I have only seen him in origami class and I doubt you're interested in that sort of thing."
"You're right, I'm not a big fan of it."
So the most hated moment of the most hated day of the week starts with that.
