You started checking you "checklist" to make sure that you have everything you need. And you did. You started to call someone (The same person as you called earlier)

You stared into space as you waited for someone to answer your call

Caller: Oh sure. Call me as soon as you're near, i'll go out of the building

I shall leave some of my clothes here so that I can come back from time to time. If you do not wish me to do that, then just throw it away and let me know if you do not want me to enter your sight and home.
