A single snowflake. Tiny. Rigid. Beautiful. Yet fragile.   She reaches her hand out, her white glove left forgotten in the right pocket of her coat. Through the light of the pale yellow streetlights, she catches a single snowflake on the tip of her finger, watching it melt away at the touch of her warmth. falls slightly ajar as she lets out a soft breath, a faint cloud flowing from before she reaches back up to watch another snowflake melt at her touch.   He doesn’t move, almost quite literally frozen in spot. His hands are buried deep into his thick coat pockets, his mouth hidden away by a knitted black scarf tied tightly around his neck. He had never been one for the snow, but the sight in front of him made him never want to leave.   “Princess,” he calls quietly, watching as she flicks her loose brown curls over her shoulder, her gaze falling on him.   A small smile presses her lips together, letting her feet sink into the snow as she took the few steps distance over to him. “How long have you been here for?”   “Long enough to watch you play with the snow.” He leans his head down to press a gentle kiss against her cold lips, before taking her hand in his and sliding back into the depths of his pocket. “You should be wearing gloves, silly. You’ll get sick.”   “Have you forgotten?” she chuckles as the elder leads the way down the snow-covered pathway, lit faintly by lone street lamps. “I am the Ice Princess. I won’t get sick.”   He chuckles along, giving her hand a light squeeze as he watches their feet sink into the snow as they walk. “I haven’t forgotten. But to me, you are just Jessica. When I call you ‘Princess’ it simply means that you are that important to me.”   “And to me, you are just Heechul. The only person who will ever think of me as Jessica.”   Heechul can’t help the smile that forms on his face, walking with a slight bounce in his step. “How is your mother?” he asks before he his cheeks flush any more than they have already from the stinging of the winter wind.   The night air is crisp, only the frozen breeze feeling heavy on cold cheeks. The waning moon shines brightly, its glow only slightly dimmed by a thin mist of clouds looming overhead. The snow doesn’t fall, it drifts, slowly and delicately until it builds another paper-thin sheet of white over the ground.   “Busy as usual this winter. It’s much harder to create snow now with this whole belief in global warming.” Jessica reaches her palm out again, Heechul watching intently as a single snowflake gathers into her hand, floating, as if by a slight breeze, just above her skin. “But I think mother has done an extraordinary job this year. The snowflakes are especially beautiful.”For a moment, the snowflake just hovers gently in Jessica’s hand and Heechul takes the chance to  inspect its intricate details. Each branch holds strong, yet glistens with the wet texture of ice. The design is not one that is common, but is simple and unique all the same.   “And how about your own snowflakes? Have you been practising?” he asks, looking at the younger through the corner of his eye, her gaze fixated on that single snowflake.   Her hand quickly squeezes around the gentle design, slowly opening again to reveal a small puddle in her palm. Jessica sighs, looking back out ahead, down the pathway as she walks. “I’m no better than last year. The designs all look the same, the ice is too thin, and they all just melt before anyone can see them.” Her head dips, a pout scrunching up her lips as she watches the ground, covered in fluffy white snow her mother had created. “I’m next in line to be Snow Queen, and I can’t even make a
