Sometimes when we touch

Description

Sometimes when we touch, the honesty's too much, and I have to close my eyes and hide.

I want to hold you till I die, till we both break down and cry. I want to hold you till the fear in me subsides.

I know how hard you try, I've watched while love commands you, and I've watched while love pass you by

Finally Kai understands she exists in his mere memory. She is a past tense.

No words can express the suffocation of love-deprivedness. No one can bring him out of this excruciating abyss.

Like a song without an ending, he couldn't see their future. Like a song without a chorus, he couldn't see her passion.

They composed a melody without an ending, without a continuation, without a pause in his life.

He didn't know how to stop.

Kai knows his heart needed healing, but the pieces were left at his lover's hand. Their little romance, their sweet moment of listening to a song together, he with the left earbud, she with the right one, the string cords aligning to their intertwining hands, was forever imprinted on his mind. His earbud was once a "Y".

Right now, he lost the courage to pick up the right earbud abandoned by her. He left it hanging low when he continued the song without endings.

"Y" became an "I".

Song looping and re-looping. Kai refused to erase memories with her. It was so lovely, so kaleidoscopic.

Their moments, why did they bleed tears?

And they made nothing easier. Eventually he gathers,

Love that remained longest in his heart is the one that is not returned.

And then Kai realizes missing her isn't the hard part, knowing that he once had her is what broke his heart.
