Genie in a Shell
Description
This is the story of Nakajima Megumi, a normal girl.
Well, that's not completely true. She's not completely average. She possesses some interesting traits. For example, her ears are overly-sensitive, and she was adopted as a baby.
But overall, she's not particularly pretty, smart, or rich.
She's just ... human.
That's what she thinks, but then she literally stumbles upon a seashell locked in a closet, and a genie appears, offering her three life-changing wishes.
What will she wish for?
And will she change her life for the better or worse?

FOREWORD:
I used to be utterly normal. I had friends, enemies, loves, and hates. I laughed and cried, had confidence and doubt, and like all other humans, my heart was a mix of good and bad things, all hopelessly tangled together.
The only things out of the ordinary were my ears, those little things that take in too much too fast, and my past, or more specifically, my adoption. No one outside of my family knew that I was adopted, though, and I loved my parents too much to care.
Then I met a genie. He was rude, uncaring, and selfish, and it was a meeting that I would later regret. It was also a meeting that I would cherish more than I'd ever thought possible, because this meeting would open new doors for me and show me how abnormal I really was.
After all, everyone is weird, but sometimes the quirks are buried too deep.
Only when strange things happen can a person's inner weirdness be brought out.
