"Hyun Ae!" a sixteen year old girl heard her name being called from not far behind her.

Her golden light brown hair stuck to her face as the pouring rain continued to drizzle and flood the streets, and her eyes flashed a sense of danger as a certain – but oh-so hot and good looking – boy was pelting at full speed after her.

He looked to be around the same age as Hyun Ae and though she couldn't believe her own ears, he was a secret agent.

Now, normally it would be natural for humans to back away from a spy as they wouldn't want to get caught up in the dark world of shadows and guns and men-in-black as them. But that was not the reason why she was running away from him...

His footsteps were heard to clap against the cobblestone pathway and step into little lakes of muddy growing puddles, as did her feet too.

Her clothes were drenched fully from head to toe and was soaking wet from the never-ending rain, and it didn't help that another cold gust of wind brushed pass the girl and made her shiver uncontrollably.

Still, that wasn't going to stop her from escaping from the only boy who somewhat found out about her little secret... a dark secret...

Lee Taemin, Korea's youngest field agent who was trained by SM Entertainment's top secret intelligence team to spy on absolutely anything from tailing suspected persons to taking down evil criminalists, was not too far behind Hyun Ae.

He was purely out of breath, inwardly amazed at how a petite fragile girl could run such distances, and was so close to grabbing a handful of her wet wrinkled clothes.

"Please stop" he yelled pleadingly, unfortunate that the heavy rain had muffled his raised voice down. It was no use, trying to catch her.

His medium-length chocolately brown hair swayed from side to side, and every so often he had to shake his head slightly to avoid the water droplets dripping from the ends of his fringe from getting into his charming dark eyes.

Not once did he take his eyes off that girl, from the moment she ran out of the reception after overhearing some bad news, to how she was sprinting at full speed right now. Why is she so scared...?, he couldn't help but wonder.

Things weren't going so well, with the rain drowning the entire streets and the crowds of people mixing and mingling before her. It would be such a shame if he lost her within the sea of random people moving about in all directions.

Hyun Ae was heading towards a large road-crossing with hundreds of cars waiting patiently on either side until the traffic lights switched from red to amber to green.

"Ya! You left this behind!" Taemin shouted over the noise of revving engines and finally caught up with her.

He grabbed her wrist and forcefully yanked her around until she faced him. Tsking, he shook his head slightly with what looked like disappointment.

Hyun Ae wasn't a girl to care what others thought of her – let alone Lee Taemin out of all people – but it was just that blank glaring face of his which seemed to have affected her.

A tear streaked down her smooth pale cheeks and her eyes began to water, despite how her lashes were coated with drops of rain anyway.

He gulped, knowing for a fact that you should never make a girl cry. But was she really crying? It was hard to tell.

"Aigoo, you're so difficult..." he breathed heavily and placed a hand one knee with his back bent a little forward. Taemin regained his energy within a matter of seconds and looked up to see her eyes... they stared down at him as if he were a threat.

"Is it all girls who play 'hard to get'...?" he half-heartedly chuckled and remembered every single female he had encountered during his previous missions. But none of them were like Hyun Ae. She was, in every way, different...

"Let. Go. Of. Me" she snapped with venom splattered in her tone, pronouncing every word through gritted teeth while pulling her hand to herself.

Her sudden bickering caused him to release the tight grip over her thin wrist; he never saw this un-humanly side of her.

Just like that, he let go... After chasing her for what seemed like hours and hours on end, he let go... She was now free, because he let go...

Taemin stood expressionlessly in the middle of the large wide busy road, halfway through the crossing, and felt ordinary citizens brush past him. A series of beeps were heard from both ends of the crossing, signalling those who were still walking that the time to get to the other side was almost over.

Yet, even knowing how the cars began to roll towards him at an unstoppable great speed, Taemin felt his body freeze all over. His muscles felt numb and his bones felt paralysed – the poor boy couldn't even move an inch.

He didn't know what caused to him to stay put; it was as if his feet were drilled to the ground.

He had already watched how Hyun Ae ran across the rest of the road crossing and herself safely to the other side.

His eyes were blank and unreadable, his lips slightly parted in shock.

Hyun Ae...

Horns were heard to be frantically beeping, tyres were screeching along the black matt surface, people were gasping at the scene of a teenaged male standing strangely in the middle of a road with no hope of escaping the upcoming vehicles and vans.

Hyun Ae spun around on her heels, her arms falling limply by her sides.

Those gorgeous hazel eyes of hers, the ones that were known to capture people's hearts, widened with growing shock and fear.

"TAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEMMMMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNN!!!"
