The five people you meet in heaven.

Description

Original summary: On his eighty-third birthday, Eddie, a lonely war veteran, dies in a tragic accident trying to save a little girl from a falling cart. With his final breath, he feels two small hands in his- and then nothing. He awakens in the afterlife, where he learns that heaven is not a lush Garden of Eden but a place where your earthly life is explained to you by five people who were in it. These people may have been a loved one or distant strangers. Yet each of them changed your path for ever.

My re-written summary: Hope loses her memory of her past and feels herself gradually losing the rest of her soul as well. She drops 5 feet, 10 feet, 20 feet below heaven, crashing into a family’s home and hovers awkwardly close; face to face with a girl about the same age as herself. Hope soon unravels the reason for her being there looking over the girl's shoulder like a guardian angel. There in the house, she meets 5 people who would help her find herself again and snap her out of her coma. Who says Heaven is the last place you'll live in forever?
