I don't know

But I do

Foreword

I pulled my luggage out of the car.

My dad was still inside, hiding his face in his sleeve. I knew he was crying, but he tried not to show it.

"I'll come and visit soon. We can video chat, ok?" I gave him a smile as he got out of the driver's seat and helped me get the rest of my luggage.

"Yeah, I know. Just make sure to keep warm and safe. It's cold in Korea. And don't forget to always carry this," he pulled something out of the backseat, "pepper spray. There are dangerous men out there." He handed me the pepper spray as he hauled the last of my luggage out of the back trunk. "I would've gotten you a pocket knife, but knowing how clumsy you are.." He gave me a knowing look. "Don't go spraying yourself with that."

"Haha, thanks anyway." I put it in my bag and helped him.

"You know, that boyfriend of your's out to be helping you right now, not your old dad. Where is he anyway?"

"He said he couldn't make it. He was busy." I rolled my eyes. He's never liked Brendon.

"Well, maybe you'll meet a nice Korean boy in Korea. I mean, what kind of a name is Brendon? Isn't it Brandon?" He shook his head.

"Appa! We've been trough this already. He's a nice person."

This time, he was the one to roll his eyes. "He's barely taken you out. All he's ever done with you is homework. Something is fishy about that kid-"

"That's not true! He's just very insightful about his future. End of discussion."

He held up his hands in defeat, "Well I better get going or I'll be late to work. Call me as soon as you get off your flight, ok?"

"Ok, bye dad!" I waved as he got into the car.

I watched as he drove away.

Korea, here I come.

First story here! Sorry if it seems like the story was made in haste. This idea just popped into my head, and I had to get it started before I could forget.
