Once you let the devil get a grip on your soul; he doesn’t let go. He sinks his claws into your weakened heart, squeezing and crushing it until every ounce of life and energy has been drained. You end up lonely and broken; an empty shell of your former self. And no one seems to care. No one seems to realise. No one seems to understand the agony eating you from the inside out. There’s nothing physically wrong from you; they say you’re being needy and self centred- an attention , at best. And you believe them. Thinking you’re being stupid, assuming that you’re just stressed and you’ll ‘get over it’. You begin to follow a routine of constantly telling yourself that nothing’s wrong, you don’t need help, there isn’t a shadow looming over you every waking moment. You think it’s gone away, carelessly and stupidly believing that the devil will let his grip go just like that. But the devil will never let go. Not for anyone.
