“Eric” Minwoo said after the phone was being picked up.

“Yes?”

“I’m half way through designing your office. Do you want to have a look at it first?”

“Nah. I trust you.”

            Minwoo laughed, “Okay~ Don’t blame me if you don’t like it yea.”

“Oh” Eric hesitated, “Can you… erm… give me Hyesung’s number?”

“Oh sure. I will text you later.”

“Thanks minu-ah. Biong~”

            Eric ended the call and Minwoo’s text came in.

“Got it.” Eric smiled.

“Should I…call or text him?”

Hyesung-ah… Can we meet?

Eric sent the message out and regretted a bit for that.

You are?

Eric smiled when he received the reply.

Eric.

Oh. Sure.

Are you free now? Can we meet now?

Sure. Just text me the place.

            Eric smiled brightly like an idiot when his old friend replied him that they can meet right now. He texted him the address and went to prepare him.

“I must be crazy.” Hyesung mumbled. “How did he get my number?”

            He thought about it and the only person Eric could ask his number from is Minwoo.

“That guy. He’s gonna get it from me.”

“May I help you?” The waitress asked Hyesung went he walked into the restaurant.

“My friend is here already.” The waitress allowed him in.

            Eric saw Hyesung and he rose up his hands to get his attention.

            Hyesung saw Eric. ‘No more feelings Hyesung…’

“Hello Hyesung.” Eric greeted him when he sat down opposite him.

“Hi.” Hyesung gave the shortest reply he had. “What do you want to meet me?”

“Let’s talk while eating. Should we?” Eric took glances at Hyesung, trying to decipher what the other guy what thinking.

“I don’t much time now.”

“Did we meet before?” Eric went straight to the point.

“What do you meant?” Hyesung acted blur, he didn’t want Eric to know that he was the Hyesung he knew in America.

“Did we meet while schooling in America before?”

“I don’t think so. I don’t have any impression of you before.” Hyesung lied.

‘ you Hyesung.  You lied to the person you love.’

“But I’m quite sure that we knew each other.”

“I’m really sorry, but I don’t think we knew each other.” Hyesung avoided Eric’s eyes and look at his cup of drink in front of him.

“Then how do you explain this.” Eric took out the sketch book that Hyesung dropped that other day.

            Hyesung looked up, he saw the drawing he drew each year for Eric’s birthday but he never had a chance to hand it to him.

“What about this?” Hyesung clustered up the courage and talked back to Eric.

“The date is my birthday and you signed off as my loved one.”

“So?” Hyesung refused to admit. “I have a friend whose birthday is on 16 February.”

“Who’s that?” Eric became serious.

“You don’t need to know.”

“I think as a friend I have the rights to know.”

“I have to go now.” Hyesung stood up, “And just to let you know. You’re not my friend.”

            Eric looked at Hyesung while he stormed out of the restaurant.

‘Why doesn’t he admit that he is Hyesung…’

            Hyesung sat in the driver seat in his car.

“ this. Why does this have to happen?” Hyesung’s eyes got teary.

“I’m sorry Eric…” Hyesung rested his head back and break eye contact from his surroundings.

“If I have a choice I would wish I had not fallen in love with you… So we can still be friends now. Like how we used to be.”

‘I still love you… Eric-ah…’
