I sat in the corner table of my favorite pub, Juan’Cole. It was a rather nice, small place. A bit messy and old but everyone were usually in a good mood dancing and having fun. Fights and disturbances were unusual as well as sober customers. I always sat in the corner. Why, you ask? Because from there I was able to observe everything but wasn’t easily observed myself.

  I had seen an advertisement at the front entrance when I arrived. There would be a new live performer tonight. Unfortunately the ad didn’t tell what type of person or group it would be. Since was only half past nine I had a plenty of time left before meeting Hara, so I decided to do some research.

  “Excuse me?” I said to a waiter walking past me. A tall male waiter turned to me.

  “Yes?”

  “Where can I get more info about tonight’s performer?” I asked.

  “Go to the bar-counter and ask for Cole”, the man said and hurried forward with five jars of beer similar to what I had already drank two servings.

  I walked to the bar. I patiently waited as the girl working there was busy preparing drinks to two older men who were chatting very loudly next to me. She was petite, quite short and skinny and had short dark brown hair. She finished making the drinks and then turned to me.

  “Can I help you?” she asked.

  “Yes”, I muttered. “I’m looking for Cole.”

  To my surprise she didn’t go to get anyone, but smiled at me and said:

  “What can I do for you?”

  “Huh?” I said. “You’re... You’re Cole?”

  She nodded: "So it would seem."

  “Isn’t that a guy’s name?” I asked.

  “Nickname or abbreviation in my case. It's Nicole”, she shook my hand. “Nice to meet you.”

  “Pleasure”, I answered quietly. I didn't talk to random people often. "I'm Hyukjae."

  "So, Hyukjae, what can I do for you?" she asked again.

  "About tonight's live artist..."

  "Oh her", Nicole said and a weird smile spread upon her face. "She is just... I swear I'd bite her. Her voice is great and she's so pretty. We use her in some other services too."

  I looked at her with a terrified face.

  "No no!" she continued fast. "Not 'that' kind of service. We arrange private parties."

  "I haven't heard about her before", I said feeling relieved I wasn't visiting 'that' kind of club.

  "She just started today", Nicole said. "And is working so hard. I guess she doesn't want to be here. Kind of depressed face. Very pretty, but depressed."

  "Why is she here then?"

  "It seems like there has been some kind of problem with the management", Nicole said with a worried face. "It's a pity to see a hot girl suffering." She was staring at the ceiling with charmed face.

  Okay, Nicole is one of 'that' type of girls, I thought. "So she sings, right?"

  "Yap, and- wouuu", Nicole stopped. She was eyeing something behind my back. I turned around. Not something. Someone.

  “Hyukjae, there you are”, Hara said. “I looked for you everywhere. Since when have you sat here.”

  Hara was wearing a very short dark blue glittery dress and her long hair had been combed to a silky ponytail on top of her head. I turned around to see Nicole’s face but she was already standing next to Hara, checking her from top to bottom.

  “Tequila for you miss”, Nicole said smiling. “On house, of course.”

  Hara nodded  a bit, astonished, and took the drink. Nicole placed her hand around Hara’s shoulders.

  “I’m terribly sorry”, she started. “But I can’t let a pretty lady like you stay at the bar with those.” She nodded at few very untidy males at the counter. “This way please”, she said and led the very confused Hara to a sofa located in the back of the room.

  “I still had a few questions...” I started.

  “We’ll talk after the performance”; Nicole answered. “Gyuri is on next.”

  Fine, I thought. Wait... Gyuri?!

  Just then the lights went out and Gyuri walked to the stage. I could hear drunken men... and women shouting compliments about her black dress, dark red lips and curled hair which had been dyed blond. I was feeling butterflies in my stomach while looking at her.

I was reading my comments (thank you for them :D) and I saw few interesting things... I got new ideas!! the plot is quite clear in my head already and no big changes will be made, but something small maybe :) And I'm just saying.. not everything in this story is what it seems like. I know it sounds dull, but .,. you'll see =D

I noticed my views have gone up very much and I REFUSE to believe that all 360 of them have been made by my subscribers :D I've come to the conclusion that I have silent readers!! (Sherlock jr.)
