I bite my lip

today

nobody is allowed in my room

except for me.

And Heebum

cos he’s just ONE COOL CAT.

And Hankyung

because he’s still sleeping next to me this morning.

Today

I figured out that I am old.

Ouch.

OLD OLD OLD.

BLEH.

And I guess with age comes

wisdom

and stupidity.

Because YESTERDAY

a certain NOT SO SPECIAL SOMEONE

planned a meeting with me.

I met her online

a looonng time ago

like… a few months or something.

 

And then I figured out

that I liked her a lot better

when I didn’t know what she looked like.

 

So THERE.

And anyway

she was only just a friend.

WAS just a friend.

Now I figured out she’s an ugly idiot fangirl

who was POSING as a dude.

and PRETENDING to be nice.

So it’s decided-

HANKYUNG IS THE ONLY ONE FOR ME.

Because I love him so so so much.

 

But I still don’t want him in my room

because he will tell me happy birthday

and whisper those words I do not want to hear

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HONEY.”

Because then I will be officially OLD. OLD. OLD.

 

Now that I am old

years and years have passed by my eyes

and I am now giving the stupid sentimental birthday speech so I’ll

shut up.

But I think I am sort of successful.

Kind of maybe?

Uh…

uh…

uh…

 

Well

I’m making money

I am sort of happy even though I’m mostly really tired

because I do a lot of work.

And and and…

I have my own restaurant, which is SUPER AMAZING

and has wonderful food

thanks to my wonderful Hankyung.

I have a lot of friends

I have my family

I have fun

I have a career

I have dreams

some of them I have realized

and some I haven’t

AND THIS DOES BEING OLD MAKE YOU SAPPY?

Sometimes I wonder why I can’t just go and live with the lost boys in Peter Pan.

Oh wait

that’s someone else’s fandom, right?

Probably.

I can’t remember my head’s all blocked up…

 

I look at the clock.

It’s already 10 AM

and my darling Hannie is still sleeping.

Because today is an off day.

 

I lie back down and kiss his shoulder.

“Good morning.”

“’Morning.” He says back.

His eyes half open

he looks at me all dreamy.

This is why I love him so much

he is so adorable and y and a- umm

I mean ONE of the reasons why I love him.

I mean… what do I care if a person is hot and y and cute and cool

and handsome and amazing and awesome and beautiful

and sophisticated-looking and stylish and…

okay I’ll shut up.

 

“Time to get ready for WORK!” I say

pretending it is a work day.

Hell, I can still pull pranks like I’m 14 again!

 

“Off day.”

 

“No it’s not!”

 

“You said “My birthday is tomorrow” one thousand times yesterday!

How do I forget? I can’t!

So…

Happy birthday, Honey.”

Okay fine

those aren’t the worst words in the world.

THEY’RE ING ADORABLE COMING OUT OF HIS MOUTH.

And I’m just melting like a… a… a…

like a plastic cup in the sun.

This is another reason why

I love my Hankyung.

 

I cuddle up next to him and he puts his arm around my shoulder

“I love you, old man.” He says.

“I love you too, old man.”

He tips his head sideways and gives me the sweetest smile.

I kiss him on the cheek.

“I guess I can sleep a little longer today.” I say.

He shakes his head. “You old man.”

 

I smile at him.

I guess I am old.

But I’ve had a pretty awesome life until now

so I guess it’s been worth it.

 

Okay so today may be a horrible day that I only want to spend with my cat and my love

but hell

I’ve got YEARS of experience behind me

what’s one DAY gonna do?
