Joo Eunji was the Cinderella, and Kim Myungsoo was her Prince Charming. Kinda.

 The Cinderella story stays true in every remake. Poor, yet living in a rich family, bullied by others, and then, poof, the damsel in distress gets her prince. Eunji’s story however, strayed from the original plot, just a little bit.

By choice, she decided to live on her on, away from her parent’s wealthy lifestyle. It was her birthday wish on her big 18. She wanted nothing more than to get rid of the shiny limos, and high end clothing, and instead, just asked for a small rooftop house that looked over Seoul. It was simple, and more than enough for her. Another wish was, that she wanted to keep everyone away from the fact that she was the daughter of Jecorparations, which literally ran oil throughout Asia. So, her parents were proud of their humble daughter, and like the fairy godmother, granted the wish with a swipe of a wand, or credit card.

At school, everyone looked over her, since they all thought she was a beggar girl, that got into the school on a scholarship, since she was vocally talented. And that’s exactly what she wanted to happen.

But, somewhere in this story, Prince Charming kicks in, and so does the evil mom.
