To: The one who may be hurting now,

I know fully well why you would be hurt if you are. We're the ones who are supposed to be your support. We're the ones who are supposed to love you unconditionally. And yet, there are some of us who love you far too much. It hurts you and it is a shame to those of us who love you. Your happiness should be our priority, but there are those who put selfishness over your happiness. That's wrong. So on behalf of those who hurt you, I'm so sorry, so, so sorry. 

You're working so hard and doing your best for us, and what do we do? We throw it back in your face and break your heart. You don't need that right now. I'm sorry. The thought of you hurting makes my heart race. It races and pushes on my ribs and I can only imagine your hurt. I cannot share it with you, but if I could I would. If I could take away your pain and make it my own, I would welcome that pain knowing that you are not hurting. 

Although it's selfish, please keep smiling for us. We will try to be your support, your light in the dark. The ones who love you more with every day, the ones who will accept you no matter what you do, what decisions you make. We know you do it for us. 

I hope we'll learn from our mistakes and stop causing you so much grief.
