Old sneakers scuffed along the cement floor. His fingers dragged along the casing, his eyes searched for roses. Roses, roses, roses… daisies, petunias, daffodils, goddamn it. Where are the roses? Why wouldn’t a flower shop have roses?? Then he spotted them, letting out a sigh of relief.
