My Ghost Cinderella. [ON HIATUS][Flashback]
“No please! Don’t take my baby!”
A woman was on her knees, she was holding another baby in her arms. The baby was crying, the woman in tears was begging an old woman. The old woman answered harshly:
“You can have that one! He seems as useless as you! How can you live with two babies when you’re poor ?! Moreover, you had make my only son laid on a hospital bed ! You, Nam Hyeri ! You useless b*tch!” The old woman slapped the woman.
HyeRi whispered:
“It wasn’t my fault… It’s your fault ! You forbid him to come to see his own children!”
“Don’t you dare to come see him or your daughter ! I will take care of them! Just die silently !”
After that, the old woman left with the baby girl in her arms.
HyeRi thought in her head:
“My SaeHee…”
[End of the FlashBack]
[WooHyun’s P.O.V]
“Umma? What are you thinking about ?”
She turned to face me , when I held tightly her hand.
“Oh you’re here WooHyun ?”
She sat on the floor, I then put my head on her lap. I slowly closed my eyes. There was a silent. She was carresing my hair when I said:
“Umma… why aren’t you talking to that old man ?”
“Nam WooHyun ! Don’t call him like that.. he’s still your dad! Anyways… as I told you, he left us by his own…”
I didn’t answer back and sighed. My mum heard that I wasn’t talking anymore so she continued:
“What can we do ? We’re poor, and I don’t know how to pay the eye operation the doctor told me to do… We don’t have enough money… Maybe I should stay blind forever, don’t you agree ?”
I grew annoyed and sat up:
“Umma ! Stop saying that! I will have enough money !” I went outside after that.
When I saw a flower shop , I immediatly thought about the girl in the hospital : “Park SaeHee.” I didn’t know why but I felt like I needed to protect her, like giving her the love of a brother even if I didn’t know her. Infact, Buying her flowers , was becoming an usual thing to do for me…
After that, I arrived in front of her hospital room and opened the door, when I heard someone crying:
“SaeHee… Please… W-Wake up ! I didn’t know! It’s my fault!”
It was that old man, I stared at him. When I entered and put the flowers in the vase near the bed. I sighed when the woman who was screaming at my mum last time asked me coldly:
“Who are you ? How dare you enter in our SaeHee’s room?!”
I scoffed:
“Your SaeHee ?” I turned around and continued:
“You don’t seem too afected to find her like that.”
She gasped and glared at me. I rolled my eyes when I heard that she was making up stories to her husband on the floor, still confused about the situation.
“Honey! Do you think that SaeHee ran away for that boy over there ? She left us for him!”
I put my hands in my pocket and turned to face them. The old man looked at me with teary eyes , he asked me:
“Is that the truth?”
I glared at him and looked at his wife coldly:
“Like you care.”
I then walked away.
[End of WooHyun’s P.O.V]
It was the night and I was walking in the street with DaeHyun next to me, I was poking his right cheek. I could saw that he was annoyed by that but tried to ignore it.
Infact, we were going back home after some grocery shopping.
“DaeHyun-Ah~~ Can you buy me someting?”
He mumbled:
“What?”
I shouted like a child while running toward an Ice cream shop:
“ICE CREAAAAAAM !”
He rolled his eyes and shouted:
“YAH! DO YOU THINK I AM YOUR WALLET OR WHAT?!”
Everyone looked at him and whispered:
“Why is he talking alone?”
“He needs to go to hospital!”
“How can they leave a crazy person like that in the street ?”
He bowed and apologized. I looked at him and was giggling. Sometimes he would forget that other people couldn’t see me.
He was glaring at me when he entered in the ice cream shop and said:
“Wait here.”
After that, we sat in a park. It was relaxing because there were no people. When he was about to eat his ice cream, I took it and smiled. He said:
“What? Give me that back.”
He tried to take his ice cream back, but I stood up and started to run away.
“Yaaaaah! What are you doing ?!” I continued to run when I felt his hand catching my arm , he spun me around. He was laughing.
It was the first time , I heard his laugh but also saw his happy face. I stared at him when one of my bracelet pearl became pink. I was quite surprised.
After that he cleared his throat took his ice cream, when he was about to walk away, 5 strange creatures which looked like humans surrounded us. These “creatures” were wearing black clothes.
DaeHyun immediately went in front of me when one of these thing said:
“Give us SaeHee…She needs to leave this world.”
Suddenly, they wanted to attack us but DaeHyun dodged it , he was holding my hand , he whispered:
“Run now.”
My eyes widened when I said:
“But, What about you ?”
“I’ll be fine, Now RUN!” He pushed me far from him and shouted:
“NOW!”
I hesitated when I started to run quickly, I was already panting , I looked behind me and saw 3 of these things running behind me.
I, then bumped into a hard chest and fell on the ground , I looked up with a surprised look. I said with tears in my eyes:
“P-Please help me.”
The person stared at me with a shock expression, when the 3 things stopped and noticed me on the ground, I tried to stand up when the boy went in front of me.
One of the strange creatures was ready to attack the boy when I shouted:
“Watch out Nam WooHyun!”
The creature touched WooHyun’s arm with its blade. He started to bleed.
WooHyun looked at his arm and smirked. He stared at it and said:
“Interesting. One against three.”
