Final
Safe and SoundTears keep streaming down my eyes as i see him leaving.
"No, Jongin." I whispered.
"Comeback, please!" I said, louder. Half yelling, half screaming and half pleading.
No, please. I couldn't bear losing him again. I couldn't stand seeing him slowly leaving.
"JONGIN!"
"Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright"
"Suzy? Ssh, it's okay. I'm here. I won't leave you."
"Everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone."
I could only pray for a thing, back then. I could only hope for a thing.
I could only hope for him to be okay.
"No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound"
"I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light"
I found something, a letter, just before i left to the funeral that day.
A letter from Jongin.
Dear Suzy.
If you're reading this right now, i guess i'm not standing beside you right now.
I guess I'm not protecting you the way i should.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry that i couldn't fulfill my promise to you.
I hope you are alright right now.
I hope the war's over right now.
Suzy, wherever I am right now,
I promise i'll keep you safe and sound.
Kim Jongin.
Until now, i still dreamt about him.
I kept thinking i saw him, but no, he's not here.
But i know, somewhere, that he's protecting me.
Because, somehow, i believe that he's still alive.
"You and I'll be safe and sound."
