The Greek god of music, sun, light and knowledge.

That was what SM Entertainment had in mind when they first decided to launch an all new girl-band into the music industry. They were meant to be a fresh addition into the entertainment world, making a sensational impact upon the world with their refreshing style.

They were to be just like what their band name suggested, goddesses of the music world, imprinting their legacy in history in their own unique ways.

Their band’s logo was used to represent the band’s readiness to take on the world, indicating that they were all geared up, prepared to sweep the audiences off their feet, aiming to reach the furthest star in the galaxy. 

Complemented with the immense amount of advertisements and promotions, the six teenage girls not only took the world by wonder on with their talents on their debut stage, but also captured the attention of all media channels in Korea for the following years, climbed to fame almost instantaneously.

They were termed the "Goddesses of Kpop" by critics, who likened the rise of their popularity to nothing less than being phenomenal.

2 weeks after their debut, their first album "Apollo" topped various charts. Their main hit, a fast paced liveband piece, "The Origin", was also the top song on many K-Lists. Varieties programs, news channels, magazines, everyone was clamoring for their attention.

Following the success of their debut album, Apollo released their second album, “Mystifying” in 2007. Their touching presentation of their second main hit, “Clueless” was well received, further confirming the powerful vocals of the six members. They created an all-time sales record by selling almost 50,000 copies of their album within the first hour of its release.

Despite being relatively young, with the oldest member being only 18 years old and the Maknae being 16 years old, the girls were able to climb the ladder of success with capabilities well above those of their similarly aged peers. Success was very sweet indeed.

However, being still young and lacking life experiences, the vibrant yet complicated entertainment industry can be a dangerous place for them. With temptations and obstacles lurking at every corner, the girls were forced to make decisions well out of their psychological leagues.
