Dating
A Leap Of Faith"Why are you crying?" I asked, alarmed and confused.
"I can't do this to you, Yoon Jae. I'm being too selfish--"
"So be selfish!" I held him at arm's length, looking into his sad eyes. "But don't push me away! That would hurt more than people saying stupid stuff about us."
Joon Hee opened his mouth to respond, but the door bell interrupted him.
"I swear if that's Tae Woong..." I grumbled on my way to the door.
It wasn't Tae Woong. It was Shi Won. I let her in.
"Oh, bacon!" She grabbed a slice off my plate and devoured it. Joon Hee fixed a plate of food for her and set it on the table. He replaced my stolen slice of bacon and we all sat down to eat.
After a few moments of silence, Shi Won blurted out. "You two totally had last night!" She followed it up with a fan girl squeal.
Joon Hee blushed and looked to me for help.
"Tell my brother so he'll get off my case." I grumbled at her, not bothering to try to chide her for her bad behavior. I knew there was no point. She wasn't going to behave herself any time soon.
"Like he'd believe me." She scoffed. "Even after you kissed in front of him, he tried to talk me into dating you."
"If we're going to tell him," Joon Hee spoke up, "we should do it together."
"What do you mean 'if'?" Shi Won asked between bites of food.
"He's a worry wart." I told her. Maybe she could talk some sense into him. "He's afraid that when people know, they'll be rude to me. He blames himself."
She reached over and patted Joon Hee's hand. "People will be rude to him anyway, dear. He's an ."
That wasn't what I had in mind, but it made Joon Hee giggle. So I guess it worked.
"Besides," she added, "anyone who messes with two of my best friends messes with me."
"Thanks." Joon Hee told her gratefully.
"I demand payment, though."
"More bacon?" I guessed. She was annoying, but she was on our side.
"That, too."
We both looked at her.
"So, what is it?" I asked, not really wanting to know.
"I want to see you two kiss again--a real kiss this time."
We both stared at her. Was she serious?! I wasn't putting on a show for her. Crazy.
"Oh come on!" She whined. "I'm the one who got dumped, remember?" Ouch. That would make Joon Hee feel guilty.
Whatever. I just wanted her to shut up. I leaned over the table and Joon Hee met me half way. I tilted my head and captured his bottom lip with mine. I forgot about Shi Won's presence for a moment when he started to move his lips against mine. He tasted like bacon. After a final peck to my lips, he pulled back and smiled shyly.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!" Shi Won screeched happily, clasping her hands. "That was sooooo cute!!!!"
"You're insane." I told her.
--------------------------------------------------
The three of us went our separate ways after breakfast. I wanted Joon Hee to move back in with me, but he said he wasn't ready yet. Besides, he'd just moved out and paid for rent. We decided to keep things secret for now--especially at work. Work was hard enough without adding problems.
I kept thinking of how to tell Tae Woong. He was my brother after all. He should be the first to know. As the day wore on, the doubts about my relationship with Joon Hee were less and less. All I could think of was how much I wanted to see him again. Not just see him, but touch him and kiss him. Why hadn't I noticed this earlier?
I ran out of things to write. I haven't updated this story in a while, so I figured I should do it now. :)
I have a couple ideas in my head about what happens next, but they aren't fully formed yet. When they are, I shall write them out and post.
Shi Won fan girl amuses me.
