❛파스텔 ♡ graphics diary┇completed & moved.making your own colorings; hello guys! i've been busy with personal life lately, a.k.a school and i'm pretty poor at time management, i'm juggling aff things as well, like writing 2 chaptered fics, a collab fic and one-shots and also dream entertainment, so i wasn't able to make graphics as much as i do, but anyhow, i wanted to give you something before this year ends.
personally, i like bright and pastel colors for graphics or posters, and making your own coloring psds isn't hard. you just have to have knowledge in making it and a good eye for colors. psd colorings are the most common thing stolen and gets re-uploaded, and it's not a good thing, it's always better to start from scratch. i guarantee you, you'll be proud of yourself once something you've made gets a lot of positive feedbacks.
without further ado, let's get started!
here is the original photo that i'll be using during the whole tutorial, i used kwon nara from hello venus (isn't she a goddess? asdjkalskjga) and the photo is by dearjuhee.com
in making your own psd coloring, you only need to use is the adjustments. you can do this adjustments if you click on the white/black circle below on your layers, this panel helps you create new filler or adjustment layer.
you will be able accurately edit the colors, saturation, brightness, contrast and whatnot easily with just one click and a few adjustments ofcourse. okay, let's start!
first is the solid color, you can use all the colors you want to fill, i used white and lowered the opacity to 20%.
it will make your photo/edit/graphic have the pastel and lighter effect. yellow, orange, brown will make your photo look brighter but have a good contrast. it usually depends on what color and the opacity.
next is the gradient, as you can see on the photo, it will provide a faded effect for your photo. i rarely use this adjusment because it wasn't that necessary, because you can always use a solid color for lighter effect, but it might come in handy if you want your edit to fade.
one of my favorite and most commonly used adjustment, the brightness and contrast. brightness expands the image's highlights and contrast expands or shrinks the tone of the image. In this image, i adjusted the brightness to 35 and contrast to 29.
brightness and contrast is proportional to the adjusment, levels and curves.
