Joy was in Taiwan; her home country. At a young age she loved music. Her passion was singing and dancing. She has learned singing and dancing from an early age and made it her dream to one day be famous. But she did not know if that was ever going to come true. All her life she had suffered from a rare case of illness that affects her lungs and muscles.

One day at the age of 19, she fell in love with K-pop and the group that she fell in love with was Super Junior. Her dream before she died was to be able to see Super Junior before the disease takes over her life..
