Nursery Rhymes

Child At Heart, She Is

"Rain, rain

come this way.

Take me somewhere far away.

I don't want to play.

I'm so tired of this game.

Rain, rain

come right here.

Come and camouflage my tears.

I'm sad and I fear.

Mother's steps are getting near.

Rain, rain

you're so loud.

You can cover mother's shouts.

I want to let it out.

But my throat feels like a drought.

Rain, rain

can you see?

Can you see mother hits me?

She's drunk, obviously.

Please, please send her off to sleep.

Rain, rain

tell me why.

Why does mommy make me cry?

I dont want to hide.

I just want a kiss goodnight."

That's Yoona's song. I cry every time I hear it. Her lips won't part for anything that's not her song and food when she's not humming. That's why she's locked away. Away from mommy, and away from me. After all, I reminded her. Now I'm nothing but rain outside a window. Watching her.
