I speak, pain.

I scream, pain.

I disobey, pain.

I run, pain.

I wait to be told eat, no pain.

I train without protest, no pain.

I keep my head down, no pain.

I stay, no pain.

I fight and win, reward.

I listen to My Lord, reward.

I protect My Lord, reward.

I help My Lord, reward.

     For as long as I can remember this is my life. From the intricate collar around my neck. I don’t question it. If I ever do wrong, I rightfully get punished through the collar, shocks and magic course through my body, stopping me from moving but not from feeling the excruciating pain. So I am the good girl that My Lord wants and not only avoid the pain, but I get rewarded.

     So now I sit at My Lord’s feet, where he can simply touch my collar and release me to fight for him. He gave me a new one that will allow him on contact to communicate with me psychically. He values my take on the enemy, or even allies, as they speak, sizing them up for what they’re worth. Just like now with the messengers speaking of the kingdom that has been growing larger over the past few years.

     The rules called MBLAQ have battled, bought, or made treaties with other kingdoms, making them our new neighbours. They now rival us in land mass and power, being My Lord has conquered many lands, through war. They seemed to come to their land by more peaceful ways with very few battles. They seemed smart and generous from the messengers.

     My Lord on the other hand didn’t like the news of the new power and as he saw the truth in the messengers' tales through my eyes, he grew angry. He had been pretending to play with my hair while touching the collar, he doesn’t like people to know about its abilities, but now he was pulling on chunks of my hair with each sentence. I knew to not show the pain blossoming in my scalp and kept my face blank.

Kinder rulers will be harmful to his kingdom as the citizens will arise and demand to have better treatment when they had what they needed, he thought forgetting that I can hear him. They need to be dealt with and made the enemy as soon as possible.... better before they have time to settle in their newly acquired land...

     “Enough.” His bass voice interjecting the alluring tales of the five kings. Rising from his throne, “I will visit your Kings, send word to them so they may prepare for our stay.” and waved to the soldiers against the wall to the messengers away.

     As the doors closed and the hall murmured with the Courts whispers, My Lord turned to me and petted my hair, turning my head up to look at him,

“Lets go visit these Kings and see if they are able to fight for what they hold dear my pet~” He smiles and patted my head one more time before descending the stairs that lead up to his gold carved throne, embellished with the crowns of the many crowns he has claimed. He paused for a moment halfway to the floor and I knew to follow him.

     I stood up and scurried down the steps in my simple white dress, staying one behind him at all times. The Court silenced as the My Lord passed, their eyes on both of us, fully knowing that tomorrow we will be setting out to conquer another king, five this time.
