[3^rd Person’s POV]

It was HyunRi‘s first day in kindergarten and for some reason she was too nervous to fall asleep. She was walking to the bathroom when she heard a beautiful voice singing. Attracted to the melodic voice, she followed the voice to its source which led to the kindergarten's playroom.

Cautiously, HyunRi peeped from behind the half-closed door into the playroom. In the playroom, there was a mysterious boy whom HyunRi recognized; his name is Cho KyuHoon or something… Or is it KyuHyun? The other children were taking an afternoon nap and the teachers were taking a break in the teachers’ area, so there was no one else in that area except for the two of them.

KyuHyun was sitting on the carpet with his side facing the door. He was playing with some toy cars while singing quietly to himself. She looked at KyuHyun; his bright brown eyes, slightly curly dark hair and his lips moving to each lyric he sang. He looked like a little angel under the half-lit room.

Then, HyunRi felt something weird; there was a weird feeling in her chest. She put one hand on the centre of her chest and moved it slightly to the left where her heart was. For some reason, her heart was racing.

What is happening to my heart? HyunRi thought. She was confused by the sudden reaction of her heart.

She took a deep breath, ignored her racing heart and just stood there listening to the deep, sensual and beautiful singing voice. Each lyric he sang seemed mesmerized her and touched her heart deeply.

Slowly, the beautiful voice calmed HyunRi’s nervous heart and she started to feel sleepy. But HyunRi quickly rubbed her eyes to get rid of the sleepiness. She refused to fall asleep as she desired to listen to the breath-taking voice more.

HyunRi smiled sleepily and thought, in the future, I want to marry a man like this…

[Cho KyuHyun’s POV]

It has always been a habit of mine to go to the playroom when everyone else is sleeping in the main room; it is really nice to have the playroom all to you.

 I glanced at the clock and found that it was only ten more minutes till wake-up time, so I decided to go back and pretend to sleep. As I was walking out of the playroom, I noticed a girl. She was leaning against the wall beside the playroom door; her arms were hugging her knees and her eyes were closed. Curiously, I squatted down in front of her to get a closer look, hoping to find out her identity.

I frowned, she’s the new girl! Her name is Byul HyunMi or something… She looked really nervous this morning when Mrs. Lee introduced her to the class; she looked as if she was going to pee in her pants. She is actually...pretty.

Thump… thump… thump…

Wait… What is that weird feeling in my chest? Am I going to die?

I put my hand over my heart and felt it beat faster.

Aish! Whatever it is, I better run back to the main room now before the teachers find me missing.

On the way back to the main room, I passed by the staff area and stopped to eavesdrop on the teachers’ conversation.

“She’s quite a pitiful child,” I recognized Mrs. Lee voice. “Her parents divorced when she was four, which was only a year ago. Since then, she was raised by her father.”

“Yeah, maybe that’s why she looked so nervous in the morning,” another voice said.

They must be referring to that new girl! I had no idea that she is from a broken family…
