CHAPTER 13

 

Onew’s POV

 

“Hyuuuuung” I can see Taemin running towards me,

 

“Why?” I ask,

 

“Don’t you know?” he asks,

 

“How would I?” I ask, he doesn’t really think.

 

“Our section will help another section in decorating the stage” he said,

 

“So? What’s the poin- WHAT??!!” THIS. CAN’T. BE. Being a stage decorator is a hard chore to do and because we are the seniors, we are responsible for the stage designs!!!!!!!! Great, Tss, just great.

 

*inserts angry face*

 

“I know that it’s a hard thing to do and Jong go there first because our homeroom teacher commands him to be the one leading the decoration w/ the help of the other section” he said,

 

“And that section is?”

 

“I don’t know, Jong just instructs me to tell this to you guys”

 

“Then, we better tell this to Minho and Key” I said,

 

“Ok”

Minho’s POV

 

“Key, what’s with the deep thoughts?” I ask, it’s been a while since he’s staring into space.

 

“Oh…umm… nothing” he replied weirdly.

 

Why? Did something happen to him, did he get ? Kekekekeke, of course, I’m just joking. But he’s really acting strange since this early in the morning, is he on drugs? No, no, no, of course not, oh well, never mind. *sigh*

 

“Hyungggggg” and there goes Taemin.

 

“Why?” I ask,

 

“Don’t you know?”

 

“How could I if you haven’t say anything to me?” I ask, he doesn’t really think.

 

Onew just laugh, I don’t know why.

 

“Oh, hyung, section 1-B is assigned to decorate the stage” Taemin ask, section 1-B is our section and:

 

“WHAT?” key and I said in unison.

 

“Why of all section, we are the one assigned to?” Key said, well, now you know why we are acting like this, as all of us told you, decorating a stage during a school’s festival is really really really H-A-R-D.

 

“But…”

 

“But were exempted?” – Key

 

*Spank*

 

“WHY?” Key ask, holding his head

 

“But were are doing it with another section, the one who will not help will get a detention in Mrs. Han’s room” Taemin continue

 

Those small eyes of Key become fully round,

 

“Yeah, I thought were heading at the school’s stage?” finally Key said. See? He’s afraid when it comes to Mrs. Han. But… me too.

Sulli’s POV

 

“I told you I don’t want to go” Luna said being frisky

 

I sigh “Luna, if we don’t go there, we will surely have a punishment” I said,

 

“So what? As if I’m going to die having a punishment” Luna said angrily,

 

“Even though having a whole day class with Mrs. Han?” Krys ask,

Our school stage is as big as a mansion, not that really big, but it was, because sometimes some theatrical movies are being held in there, three days with no rest, the professors are always tired during a theatrical movie ends. See, we will go there seeing that stage with no design. *sigh* and *pouts*

 

“Hey, what’s with pouting?”  

 

“Nothing” I just said.

 

Me too… I also don’t want to help in decorating the stage. But… I also don’t want to have a punishment again because Minho is not with me.

 

And speaking of Minho… I haven’t seen him yesterday.

Victoria’s POV

 

Yay! This is the first time of me having a POV, well, I don’t have to introduce myself to everyone right? *sigh* In this story I don’t have a leading man, who do you want to partner with me? But please pick a handso-

 

“Vic, don’t just stare there, we must do our designated task” and here presenting Amber. Tsk, I’m on my introduction with you guys right?

 

“Ok, fine, here I come” I said. This is gonna be a tiresome week.

 

I walk away at Amber. Ok, what I’m saying is-

 

“Vic, can you please pick up that curtain?” one of my classmates instructed, it’s so annoying, but I just cheerfully get the curtain and bring it to her.

 

Alright as I was sayi-

 

“Vic, can you please hand me some flowers? The pink one okay?” then again my other classmate instructed. Don’t they have their own feet?! FYI, I’m not the class monitor. Tss.

 

But because I was a very RESPONSIBLE girl, I do what she say. Hmp!

 

I look around and everyone was now busy. Let’s continue?

 

Because I don’t have any partner I was asking if you can sugge-

 

“Ouch” I bumped into something.

 

This was so infuriating!!!!

 

“NOW WHAT DO YOU WANT?!” without even knowing who he is I ask him, then because he’s a bit taller than me I should look up at him…he’s handsome…no, he’s gorgeous.

 

“I’m sorry, but may I know where the director of this play was?” he ask,

“Now what?” I ask, because I knew who the voice belong to I didn’t bother to look at them.

 

“You ordered us to go here and now you’re asking ‘now what?’” Luna said in her usual tone.

 

“Alright, ok, fine, whatever” I just said, Luna really knows how to piss people off

 

“What?!” Luna ask again

 

“I said, we must bring the red curtain in the stage and put it there, hang it there I mean” I replied.

 

“Alright!” Krystal answered excitedly while Sulli just smile.

 

“So, while were hanging the red curtain there, you will just stare at us?” Luna asks again. Tss, this FRIEND of mine really have good manners.

 

“Ah well, of course not” I said, so maddening.

 

While heading to the stage I can’t help nut to think about that gu-

 

“Vic, are you alright?” Sulli on my right side ask, they always broke my thoughts.

 

“I’m fine” I replied shortly

 

“You seem preoccupied by something, tell me, were friends right?” she ask and pat me on the shoulder as if my problem is that serious

 

“Well, umm, you know…” how can I explain this “I’ve met a guy a while ago and…he’s so handsome I… I…. forgot to ask his name” I lowered my voice at my last word.

 

“Pardon?” she ask again

 

Sulli makes me more humiliating, why she asked about it again?!!!!!!!!

 

“NOTHING!” I said and run away.

 

“Hey, do your tasks” I heard Luna screamed.

 

“Let her Luna” I heard Sulli said while laughing.

Sulli’s POV

 

Vic must have gone crazy, I can’t help to laugh when I remember what she say, I thought that she was having a serious problem. Hahahhahhahhaha!!!!

 

“Sulli” someone called my name.

 

“Amber” I also said,

 

“You’re the class monitor right?” she ask,

 

Even though it’s so humiliating, I nod.

 

“Then, you must do your work as a class monitor, but wait…why is the other section not here yet?” she ask,

 

“I don’t know” I just replied, “I’ll go, I must do my job” I said and pat her on the shoulder.

 

[Work time]

 

“Sulli, can you get the glue stick?”

 

“Sulli, may I have the scissors?”

 

“Sulli, can you get me those flowers?”

 

“Sulli, the paint brush”

 

“Sulli, please pass that folder to me”

 

“Sulli, the paint bucket, the red one”

 

“Sulli, pencil”

 

“Sulli, eraser”

 

And so on and so forth….

 

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I screamed in frustration but just in my mind, so are they going to kill me? Sulli here, Sulli there, oh…I thought about this will happen and the worst part was that I am the class monitor!

 

“Sulli, can you ple-“

 

“What do you want now?!” I screamed whoever that person was.

 

“Sulli, this is me, Key” the person said.

 

“So wha- WHAT?!” I turn around, I can see Key oppa staring at me because I shouted at him.

 

“Oppa, I’m sorry, I was really tired” I said and sigh.

 

“Oh, I see, I was about to ask you for something, but guess you’re too tired, I’ll go” he said, I feel ashamed because of screaming at him.

 

“No, what do you want me to do?” I ask, even though I’m soooooooooooooo tired.

 

“Please get some paint bucket on the stock room, the paint bucket here had run out and everyone was busy that’s why when I see you just seating here I thought you can help” he said cheerfully. What? Just SEATING here? He must be joking, if only he know how hard it is.

 

“Alrigh- wait a minute… oppa, why are you here?” I ask in curiosity, but really why? He’s not my classmate or maybe…

THEY’RE THE SECTION THAT WILL HELP US?!

 

 “Ahm, we are the section that will help your section in decorating the stage” he said with a wide smile

 

So, that’s it…WHAT?! IT MEANS MINHO IS HERE?!

 

“Go get it, I’ll be waiting for you” he said and waved at me.

 

T_T<- crying

 

[Stock room]        

 

So many trashes in here, psh, were was those paint buckets go? I can’t find them.

 

“Paint bucket, where are you?” I ask as if those paint buckets will hear me. I look like a fool,

 

“Ouch” I tripped.

 

“Where in the world those paint buckets are?! They are making me so angry, PLAESE SHOW YOURSELF” I shouted inside the stock room.

 

But…something is moving, I can hear something… oh no, ghost!!!!! I’m afraid of those. Please Jaeki come, please..... but:

 

“Ahhhhhhhh” I screamed

 

“Hey, hey, hey”

 

I look at the person who speak, my jaw almost drop. God, I miss him!

 

“Minho” I just whisper his name…

 

“What are you doing here?” he ask,

 

Why is he here?

 

“Me?” I ask, what a big fool you are Sulli! You’re the only one here…I mean two.

 

“Who else” he said, shocking, there are coldness in his voice not like the way he spoke to me before that is so gentle.

 

“Umm, I was…umm, going to get the paint buckets”

 

“So, you should turn on the lights. And no point in shouting” he said and walk away.

 

I scream because of shocked when he turns on the lights. Hahahahahahah, but I really didn’t mean to.

Minho’s POV

 

Well as usual, Suzy came in the stage to ‘see me’. I’m so tired of this, she always hug me and end up shouting at her because she keeps telling she’s so sorry of what happen before, I can’t get her, saying she’s sorry as if she can get back my happy life before.

 

So because of anger I walk out, I don’t know where I’m going but I can hear someone.

 

“Paint bucket, where are you?” the voice asks, the after a while:

 

“Where in the world those paint buckets are?! They are making me so angry, PLAESE SHOW YOURSELF” the voice shouted as if she’s talking to someone, I can’t help but to laugh.

 

Then I go inside the stock room. It’s dark in here, but not that dark, I look for the switch then:

 

“AHHHHHHHHH” I heard her screamed, so it’s Sulli.

 

“Hey, hey, hey” I said because its irritating hearing her scream,

 

Sorry to her. I knew she’s my friend but I’m not in the mood right now.

 

She slowly opened her eyes and she’s shock when he saw me.

 

“What are you doing here?” I ask,

 

She didn’t answer about a second. I look at her… did I miss her?

 

S.H.O.C.K.E.D. How come I ask that question when I stare into her eyes?

 

Erase… erase… I’m mad right now!

 

“Me?” she asks, is she crazy? Of course! She’s the one I’m asking.

 

Because I’m so angry I ask her in a cold voice “Who else?”

 

“Umm, I was…umm, going to get the paint buckets” she replied.

 

“So, you should turn on the lights and no point in shouting” I replied. Tch.

 

I walk out in the room but after a minute:

 

“Wait” someone called me, don’t want to turn around, of course I know who she is,

 

“Hey, I said wait” she repeated again.

 

No, I won’t turn around.

 

“Ouch” I said, something hard hit me on the back of my head, this time I turn around, and I can see Sulli smiling at me.

 

I look down, then I saw a shoes.

 

“What’s this?” I ask holding at the shoes.

 

“Are you stupid, of course, that’s a shoes” she replied and start limping towards me, when she’s right in front of me; she took the shoes at my hand.

 

“I know that’s a shoes, what I mean is that, why do you throw it at me?” I ask,

 

“I-don’t-know” she said emphasizing the words.

 

“Are you kidding me?” I ask,

 

“Of course not, I really didn’t know that there is a flying shoes existing” she playfully said and smile.

 

I just stare at her, then I continue walking, there’s no point talking to someone like her.

 

“Hey, you know, why are you like that, sometimes you’re a gentleman, a good guy, and now you’re so cold, I don’t understand who you really are” she said while walking beside me.

 

“This is the normal me” I said,

 

“Normal? You think that’s normal?” she ask

 

“Then what?”

 

“Abnormal” she replied then laughs.

 

“What do you really want?!” I ask her, so irritating.

 

“See, the first time I saw you, you saved me, then accompany me, and so gentle to me even though you looks cold that time too” she said not answering my question.

 

“I want to get back to my real personality” I said, when I was a little boy I am very cold to everyone except to my parents. I love them more that anyone, more than anything, they are the most important thing in my life, my family was my greatest treasure, but now…my family is gone, and that’s because of the first person who made me smile except my parents, that’s why I love and trusted her a lot, my family gratefully accept her as part of us, she also promise to me that she will not leave me. And all she said was a…lie.

 

“Oh, I see. Then let’s go eat” she said, and that broke my lonely thoughts. I’m shock because she doesn’t ask about it, the normal Sulli will always ask 'why'.

 

“Don’t want to, you go by yourself” I said and walk faster than her.

 

But she run and walks by my side again

 

“If you don’t, I’m going to kiss you” she said,

 

WHAT?! That made me shock. My facial expression suddenly changes… cold expression to shy expression?

 

Then I can see she was smiling, then after a while she laugh.

 

“See, I fooled you!” she said and laugh again.

 

WHAT???!!!! FOOLED ME?!!!

 

 “Then, kiss me” I said and moved my head towards her. I step forward, she step backward and every time I step forward she also steps backward until her back touch the wall, I put my arms behind her head, trapping her. I can see her blushing, time for revenge! *evil laugh in mind*. I was going to tell her I have fooled her when:

 

“I love you” she said in a shy tone.

 

My jaw almost touches the floor.

 

*Silence*

 

*Awkward*

 

Then after a minute I heard her giggling, then she turn out laughing.

 

“Why?” I ask,

 

“Because I fooled you again” she said and continue laughing. This girl doesn’t have any sense of humor.

 

“Alright! Stop fooling around and let’s go eat” I said

 

“Alright but before that…put your arms down, you’re trapping me” she said, so I quickly put it down.

 

“Let’s go at the most expensive restaurant” I said,

 

“No, were going at the park to eat street foods” she said,

 

“I don’t eat those kinds of foods” I said,

 

“Then you’re so yuck” she said.

 

“What?!” I ask. Maybe her because she’s eating those kinds of food,

 

“REAL man eat street foods” she said

 

That’s absurd but come to think of it, is she challenging me?

 

“Alright, I will assure you, I’m a real man” I said, I’m on it.

Sulli’s POV

 

I thought were really going to a very expensive restaurant, thanks I’m very intelligent. And the scene in the hallway, when I tell him ‘I Love You’, I was not really joking at that time but because there is too much silence I just say I’m fooling him.

 

And I don’t want him to know my feelings for him, so the only thing to do is deny it.

 

“So where are we going?” he ask,

 

“Ah, there” I said and pulled him there.

 

We go at the fish cake shop.

 

“Ah, may I have 5 pieces of this?” I ask,

 

“Yeah, 1,250 won”

 

I get the fish cake and gave one to him, at first he’s confused if he’ll get them, and maybe he remembered what I said so in the end, he end up taking it.

 

[While walking]

 

I ate up the 3 fish cakes, now I only have one, but:

 

“I take this” he took it.

 

“What?!” I ask, don’t tell me, he like it. I smiled.

 

“Deaf” he just said,

 

“Ah, so you like it?” I ask and smile,

 

“No”

 

“Then, get it back to me” I said,

 

“No”

 

“Then I’m going to shout here that I love you!” I said

 

“W-what?!”

 

“One”

 

“H-hey”

 

“Two”

 

“Stop”

 

“Thr-“

 

“Alright, I like it ok, let’s go back and buy some more” he said and pulled me at the fish cake station.

 

This is making me happy. Hehhehheheh.

Minho’s POV

 

No one can really stop this girl, so in the end, I pulled her at that shop again and make me by 5 fish cakes. This one is yummy.

 

“Hey, give me two” she said while laying out her hand.

 

“No”

 

“Alright, I’m just going to buy hotbar with cheese and ketchup on it…that would be so yummy than fish cakes” she said as if that was yummy more than the one were eating.

 

“Here, I’m going to give you only one” I said,

 

“Thanks”

 

“So, let’s go eat the one you said” I said, I also want to taste it.

 

She look at her wallet, I can see many cash in there.

 

“No, we should get back in the school now” she said,

 

So she didn’t want to buy me that food?

 

“No” I said,

 

“But if we don’t go back, we will have a detention and that would be having a class with Mrs. Han” she said,

 

Oh! Yeah, she’s right.

 

“Let’s go” I said and grab her on her wrist.

 

While running, a smile form my lips, I won’t deny that this day is fun and this girl beside me is the one who did it, after a long time, this is the first time I feel happy like this.

 

“Oh, you’re smiling” she said while looking and pointing at me.

 

“Of course not!”

 

“Don’t deny it” she said and laughs again.

 

Somehow, her laugh made me calm and happy too.

 

Then again a smile formed my lips.

But! Before we get back, I pull her to Merry Kingdom and we play there for just 30 minutes. I become happy… just having her presence around can make me smile.
