Stuck on Stupid

Description

Sungyeol watch his best friend fall in love with someone else.  He had been in a one sided love with Myungsoo for far too long.  Not that the other ever noticed.  Now it was too late.  He was too scared to confess to Myungsoo and now he had to watch his best friend give his heart away to another.  How will he mend his broken heart now?  Was it even possible?  Unbeknownst to him, there was someone who was going to help him find out.

Author's Note

For those who don't know, this story stems out of my previous story Work Hard, Play Hard.  It follows the same story line but from the point of view of Sungyeol and Woohyun.  You don't necessarily have to read the other story first in order to understand the this one.  But it would be nice if you read that one first to get a better understanding of the situation.

I'm sorry about the description.  It really doesn't tell you much but the forword should give you a better feel for how the story will flow.  It will be part of a future chapter.

I hope you will enjoy this.  Please subscribe and comment.  I love to hear other people's opinions (Good or Bad).

(05/26/13):  I won't start this story until I finish one of my other ones first.  Disappointed?  I understand but I hope you would be willing to wait for me.  I have started jotting down story ideas for this so I might adding chapters sooner.

Foreword

Sungyeol returned to his apartment from the hospital drained.  He was emotionally and mentally exsausted.  He flopped face down on his bed.  All he wanted to do was get some rest.  He had almost drifted off to sleep when his phone rang.  He covered his ears trying to ignore the sound.  He finally gave up and harshly pulled his phone from his pocket.  Woohyun's name was on the screen.

"Hello?"

"Yah.  I've been trying to get a hold of you but everytime I called it went right to voicemail."  Woohyun stated.

Sungyeol rolled over to his back.  "I've been in the hospital with Myungsoo.  I only got home."

"Ok.  I'll be over in a 15 minutes."

"Look, Woo---"

Woohyun interrupted the other man.  "Bye Yeolie," and hung up.

Sungyeol looked at his phone.  Aish.  He wasn't really in the mood to see anyone, especially Woohyun.  He just wanted to sleep.  After a few minutes of staring at his ceiling, Sungyeol finally got up from his bed.  He walked to his kitchen and started a pot of coffee.  While the coffee was brewing, he went to his bathroom to freshen up.  Before he knew it Woohyun was already knocking on his door.

"Damn man, you look like hell."  Woohyun greeting.  The shorter man walked pass Sungyeol and entered the apartment.

"Gee, thanks.  I told you I've been in the hospital with Myungsoo."  Sungyeol  said annoyed.  He headed to his kitchen to make a cup of coffee.

"How is he, by the way."  He heard Woohyun ask from the living room.

"Good.  Sunggyu's with him now..."  Sungyeol hesitated as he thought back on  Sunggyu and Myungsoo.  "Umm... do you want some coffee?"  he asked when he came back to the living room.

"No I'm fine."  Woohyun replied.  "Did you know about Myungsoo and Sunggyu dating?  I knew something was going on with them but I didn't think Sunggyu would actually make the commitment."  He laughed to himself, amused by the whole situation.

Sungyeol nodded, starring into his cup of coffee he was holding.

Woohyun noticed the taller man's scilence.  "What's wrong with you, Yeolie?"

Sungyeol placed his cup on the coffee table.  He sat back on his couch and closed his eyes.  He was just so tired.

"Sunggyu and Myungsoo... at the hospital..."  He wasn't sure what he was trying to say.

Woohyun was confused. "Yeah, what about them?"

Sunggyeol took a deep breath.  His eyes were still closed, not wanting to look at the man beside him.  "Those two... those two defined their relationship.  They've finally admitted to themselves that they're dating. So... so what about us?"

"What about us?"  Woohyun was monotone, not giving a hint of emotion.

Sungyeol finally opened his eyes.  He turned to look at Woohyun.  "You know what I mean.  What kind of relationship do we have?  Are we dating or am I just some fu_k buddy to you?"

Woohyun did not like Sungyeol's tone.  The last comment the man said stung.  He looked  Sungyeol in the eye.  They were pleading for an answer.  Woohyun stood up.

"I need to go."

"But---"

"I shouldn't have come."  Woohyun mumbled as he walked off.  He wasn't sure if he was talking to Sungyeol or himself.

Sungyeol didn't even get a chance to get up from the couch.  Woohyun was already gone.  He laid his  head in his hands and started crying.  He couldn't hold back his tears.  I'm so stupid.  Stupid Stupid Stupid.

Awww, I'm sad that this story hasn't begun yet. I really like WooYeol and the description is good. I enjoyed your other story and would really like to see the WooYeol perspective.
