Seung Mi slowly walked in the dark alley towards her house. She stared at the street light in front of her house, her eyes started watering as she remembered bittersweet memories.
It was a cold evening, YoungJae and Seung Mi just finished watching a movie together.
"Seung Mi, kiss me!" YoungJae said as she stopped her
"Mwo? Why the hell would I do that?!" Seung Mi was surprised
"Come on, it's my birthday tomorrow." he smiled
"You already said it, it's tomorrow." she continued to walk
"Please~" Youngjae cooed
"Tell me 3 reasons why I should kiss you?" Seung Mi stopped under a street light in front of her house
Youngjae went to her and slowly pushed her towards the lamp post "Because it's my birthday tomorrow. Because I'm your boyfriend. And because I love you." he said that as he slowly leaned in and kiss her
As soon as their lips collided it started snowing. Youngjae deepened the kiss and let go. He smiled, his cheeks had a pint of red in it.
"Who said you're my boyfriend?" Seung Mi raised her voice
"You." Youngjae grinned widely and showed a recorder and pressed play. The words 'You're my boyfriend' was recorded at the right time.
"You sneaky brat." the girl laughed at her friend's corniness
"I hate you!" she covered her blushing cheeks
"Are you blushing?" Youngjae teased
"Aniyo! I'm just really cold." she denied
"Really? Okay, see you tomorrow." Youngjae said as he pecked Seung Mi's cheek and walked away. He looked back, blew a kiss and shouted "Saranghae!"
After washing up she checked if there is anything she can eat. After finding out that she didn't have any stock of ramen anymore -too lazy to cook- she decided to just eat some cereal.
"Aish, I still haven't eaten yet and it's already late." she sighed as she looked at the time
At that time her phone rang and it was YoungJae.
"What are you doing? Have you eaten yet?" he asked through the other line
"I just got home and no, I haven't eaten yet." she answered
"Great, I'm on my way over there and I have some food with me." he said
"Hehehe, okay I'll wait for it."
As she washed the dishes her tears didn't stop falling. Why are these memories keep on flashing back. All she felt was regret. Youngjae was nice to her. He loved her with all his heart but she ended up breaking it.
She wanted to call Youngjae but she didn't have his new number. She wished she didn't treat him like that. She didn't know what being with him is. She didn't know that she would suffer a lot after Youngjae left. She thought that it will be just like other breaks up. That it will be painful at first and it will soon fade away but it wasn't like that. She can't do it, every happy memory of them just makes her heart break little by little.
After washing the dishes she removed the gloves and looked at her hands. Nothing changed, her head, her mind, especially her fourth finger. She hated how everything reminds her of YoungJae.
"Why are you wearing a ring in your middle finger?" Youngjae asked as he played with Seung Mi's hand
"It's a friendship ring." she explained
"Remove it in the future, okay?" he said
"Why?"
"Because it would look ugly if you have two rings in one hand. Maybe you should just transfer it to your left hand."
"And why's that?"
"Because I'll be giving you a ring for your fourth finger." He smiled
"Cheeseball!" Seung Mi laughed
As the night became deeper she decided not to sleep. She stayed up. She waited for Youngjae to come back even thoughshe knows it's impossible. She cried as she waited, regretting and mumbling somethings.
"Saranghae, I guess I was crazy. I was really a fool. I know it's too late. I know that you're already gone. Now that I know how important your love is I can only remember and cherish the times we are together." she cried
Sorry!! FAIL!!
*Runs towards the bushes, never to be seen again*
