Fourteen year old Lee Sunkyu dreamt about becoming a pâtissière* and she knew very well that her dream can be fulfill once she entered St. Marie Academy which is located in Korea, Japan and Paris. There are two type of St. Marie Academy in Korea; the Scholar Marie and the Teen Marie, the Scholar Marie is a building for students who are studying to get a scholarship and the Teen Marie is a building for students who are either beginners or amateur in baking. The main branch of this academy is in Paris, which Sunkyu could not go as her family was having a financial problem and to make it more horrible, her family against her on going to the main branch academy and the boarding school in Korea. By then, Sunkyu decided to work in her grandmother shop to sharpen her skill in baking and cooking. Her twenty-four year old uncle, Jung Ji Hoon also known as Uncle Rain, and her grandmother support her in everything so that she could enter St. Marie Academy boarding school. This work has became her daily schedule and she loves it but a sudden death of her grandmother leaves bloody tears in Sunkyu's memory. The smell of the sweet cakes, the amber color on the wall of her grandmother's shop and the lovely life her grandmother and herself has gone through fade like the wind blew the ash away. Couldn't stand the pressure his nephew is holding, Uncle Rain decided to help Sunkyu transfer to St. Marie Academy with or without Mrs. Lee's permission.
