Soft and white,
The snow was falling,
Filling the dark spaces,
Into a winter sea.
Cold and getting colder,
The wind blew,
My freezing toes crunched through,
A boulevard of shards.
I see him,
The boy in the snow,
Quiet and still,
He stood.
He was cold,
He was ice,
His breath was lost,
In fragile beats of time.
