The promise was broken, nothing could be done about it now. It was not within his power that he could have stopped this. He shouldn't have been alone here, but he was. He's always wondered what would happen if he was able to make the changes in his life that would change the course of his future, of his love, of his life. That wouldn't be fair though. His love was cold and dead, and lifeless now. What was he to do? He couldn't make it come back to him no matter how hard he tried. His heart would just weep for the love that he let slip through his fingers, literally. The thought of the young boy's cold face brought those downtrodden thoughts to his head once again and he would just push the reflections of his love away once more. But everyday since that day that had started out so good, he would get the faint sigh of the boy's voice in his ear and it would feel as if the boy's breath lingered on his neck, whispering his name. But of course he would just brush it off as the wind and his imagination out to get him.
