PROLOGUE

Up in the heaven, among the silver clouds and glistening lights, came beautiful angels singing in harmonious melody. Their backs graced with a pair of pure white wings, soft and basking in warm light. With graceful white robe and gorgeous face, they were divine, reflecting the might of their Creator – the Lord.

But one angel, however, seek for more. The Lord’s wings were more glamorous. The Lord’s robe was more beautiful, and His face, which shone with wisdom and power, could not be compared to any angels.

The angel was envious. The feeling dripped inside his vein, slowly sullying his pure thoughts with black stains. His eyes were lost in the dark and he was growing mad with jealousy.

He wanted to become the Lord.

But his plan ended up futile. He lost the battle, and his gathered army was running away. Earth, that was the destination. It was a fitting place. It was once empty but now filled with mortals called human.

He was falling hard and fast. His eyes which dulled by filth and sins, managed to take the last glance at heaven before he was being pulled down harshly to the land. His once pure white wings burned into flames, leaving them as black and grim color. His memories were gone, but he remembered one thing:

Hatred.

‘Revenge,’ he thought as his body slumped above the concrete ground made of grey asphalt. His strength was depleted and his feet were giving up to the point of breaking.

The Lord did not have any mercy on evil. He would send one of his angels to search for the fallen one and banish him for eternity. But he was not afraid, no. That was very fitting to the fallen angel’s plan. When that time comes, he swore that he would search for that angel and kill him; no matter how many lifetimes he would take. Then he would rise up again, taking the throne now for himself.

That is his revenge.

‘Soon,’ he kept repeating the word inside his mind until he was finally drowned in slumber, waiting for his reborn.
