South Korea arming up for war

(KBC) -- After three North Korean Musudan missiles have been launched from a military base in the eastern part of the country, directly aimed to cross the DMZ and attack Seoul, the South Korean Goverment has now cut its ties to the North.

Although the missiles were immediately destroyed by the air and missile defense systems stationed alongside the Sino-Korean border, before they could enter South Korean air space, South Korea is now officially setting up for war.

For weeks last month, North Korea have been dishing out daily threats aimed at South Korea and the United States, fluelling flames of speculation for an upcomming attack.

The North's rhetoric intensified after the U.N. Security Council voted in last December to increase sanctions on the regime and send further troops to secure the DMZ and South Korean waters.

North Korea's sudden rise to a military power, allegedly with serveral nuclear devices under its belt, is highly speculated to be the last action of leader Kim Jong-Il's reign, whose health is said to be decreasing.

If Kim Jong-Il will abstain from North Korea's current political course due to his health problems and if the nuclear devices are eventually going to be put to use is till to be questioned. South Korea, however, is now preparing for the worst.
