I unsealed my eyes.

I wake up one day in the warmest of the seasons.

I realized I was a ghost.

It was like a movie when I found myself floating through the sky.

Where should I head to?

Of course the first thought that came is…my home.

I take a trip back to the place.

An average abode and walls with the lightest shade of red, which my mom chose.

I proceed inside. I got confused when unfamiliar people came into view.

“Hmm…” I noticed a child sitting on her baby chair. She looks at me very intently. Then a smile crept on her face. She gazed back to her food and poked her meal. She took a spoon-full of it and points it to me.

“Want a bite?” She asks, pouting.

“Huh? Yeah!” I said. The child giggled and tried to feed me with the thing she offered.

Unfortunately, all of it fell on the floor.

“Oh…”

“Urk! It’s going right through me!” I said.

The child desperately continues by taking another spoon-full but everything just falls downs.

“So that really happens to ghosts…” Then tears began to form in my eyes.

The child drops down her spoon and stared at me. I look down trying to hide my tears.

“You okay?” she asks. I just nod.

*WIPE WIPE*

I felt hands brushing my face. It was the child’s. She used her hands to wipe my tears. But the tears continue to flow…

“Huh? I can touch you.” She continues wiping my tears away. Then eventually she touches my cheeks. I saw her smile again.

Then she withdraws her hands and takes a bite from her food.

*CHOMP CHOMP*

She stared back at me and leaned in forward.

She kisses me.

It was so surprising that my whole body froze.

She then lets go of the kiss.

“Is it yummy?” She asked me then giggles.

“Yeah.” Oddly enough, I could taste the food.

“Sooyoung? Were you talking to someone just now?” A lady enters the kitchen. I guess she’s the mother.

“Mommy, This girl is…” She points at me. I crossed my arms and smiled at her.

“What are you talking about?”

“Huh?” Sooyoung titled her head.

“There’s nobody there.”

“Now, eat up, or you’ll be late for kindergarten.” The lady said before turning away.”

“Huh?” She looks at me with a confused expression.

“But…?” I just smiled again.

“Sooyoung, want Daddy to take you?” Her dad enters, carrying a bad.

“Umm…” I want to speak. Sooyoung then tried to reach me.

*WOOSH WOOSH*

Her hands swayed through the air.

I saw how ‘amazement’ was painted on her face.

“Mommy has to go put her make up.” The lady went out.

“Are you a ghost?” She pouted again. AIGOO! CUTE!

“I don’t think mommy and daddy can see you.” She adds.

“I think I am….” I gave her a sweet smile.

“Aren’t you afraid of me?”

“Dunno!” She smiled showing her two front teeth and turned her attention back to the food.

“What’s your name?” She asks while biting on her loaf of bread.

“Sooyeon…” I tilted my head.

“Sooyeon!” She shouts my name and look at me with sparkling eyes. I giggled since she looks so cute with bread crumbs around . AIGOO.

“Our names both start with ‘SOO’!” We both giggled.

“Okay! Have some of this too.” She took a bite from the loaf.

*CHOMP CHOMP*

“Huh?”

Then she leans in and….

*SMACK*

She kisses me for the second time.

I blushed so hard my cheeks are now burning red!

Our faces separated when we ran out of air.

“Was it good?” She asks, smirking.

“Yes…but…” Gosh! I’m kinda embarrassed.

“Hee…hee…” She giggles.

Sooyoung is the only one who can touch me though I don’t know why.

She soaks a finger in the hot chocolate and put it in my mouth.

I’m glad this time I don’t have to use my mouth. I can feel and taste something if she’s touching it.  So I ended up spending my time with her.

After sharing breakfast together, she has to leave now for kindergarten. We bid our farewells and I was left at home.

“Come here and taste this for me! Mom’s not here!” I hover towards the kitchen where she is.
