The smell of rich, elegant coffee lingered in the cafe. The chatter of people filled up the room, their laughter and smiles all moderate.

"One cup of iced tea," a young man said whilst leaning against the door tiredly. A sharp jawline, single lidded eyes, and bright red hair to match with his milky white skin.

"Coming right up sir!" the waiter cheered out before laughing, his eyes crinkling like they always did. The laugh always lasted for three point five seconds, and never longer.

"I'm afraid."

"Afraid of what?"

"That this will be the death of me. Reality is impossible to bear, while my thoughts scream at me. I feel...I feel as if they're both working against me. In the end, I hope I don't spiral downwards into oblivion. So please--remember me while you can."
