Jonghyun's POV

I was shocked. Key was back, and he just saw me kissing Sekyung. This isn't good.

"Oppa~Who was that?" she asked me.

"Do you remember my friend Key I told you about?"

"Your boyfriend right? Or ex-boyfriend?"

"Yeah well. You remember the story I told you right?"

"Yes."

"And the promise I promised him."

"Yeah- Oh. Jonghyun I'm sorry." She apologized then hugged me.

"It's okay."

"So what are you gonna do?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't you remember our agreement?"

I thought back to the agreement we made.

~Flashback~One Year Ago~

I love Key. It was obvious. But I was really bad with distance. I felt like we were drifting apart. The connection wasn't the same anymore. I know I promised Key to wait for him, but it's been 2 years and he still didn't know when he was coming back.

I went to a cafe a couple blocks away from my house to think. It was then when I met Shin Sekyung. We started talking about things and I ended up telling her about my relationship with Key. She was very understanding about the whole thing. She also told me she was having a relationship problem too. We talked for a few more hours that day. It was really nice having a friend like her, so we exchanged numbers. For the next 7 months we would go out, meet up, and talk to each other. Then after a few weeks, she had an idea.

"Jonghyun."

"Yes?"

"You know that I'm still getting over my ex-boyfriend right?"

"Yes"

"And I know that you're still waiting for Key."

"Where are you going with this?"

"It's just that, we've been waiting for a long time. I've been doing this for about 8 months, and you've been waiting for almost 3 years."

"Keep going."

"I want to ask you something."

"Go ahead."

"I was to date."

"What?"

"I was us to be a couple."

"But Sekyung, you just said that you remember about Key and I."

"Yes, but you've been waiting so long."

"I know, but I love Key. I'll wait for him."

"I know, and I still like me ex-boyfriend but hear me out here."

I nodded.

"How about this. We start dating. If I feel like I still like my ex-boyfriend while dating you, I'll call it off. If you still like Key, you can call it off anytime. If, or when, Key comes back, you can leave me for him. But I think we both deserve to try to move on."

I thought about this for a while. Then nodded in agreement.

"Okay. I agree."

~End of Flashback~

"So what are you going to go?" She asked me.

"I still like Key. I still love him."

"Then go to him."

"Thank you Sekyung." I said with a smile.

She smiled back and said, "Now go. He saw me kissing you. Go get him before it's too late."

"Thanks Sekyung, you're the best."

I told my mom I was going to Key's then left.
