Jinyoung and his father (Tokio) had moved to Osaka just yesterday, they lived in a big mansion on the beach not far from Tomomi’s House. Jinyoung walked past the living room up the stairs and strait into his room. He fell on his bed with a clump he, couldn’t stop thinking about Tomomi. Eventually he fell asleep; he was so unfocused he went to sleep without a shower. The next morning around 6:50am Tokio shouted from the kitchen, “Jinyoung get up now or you’ll be late for school.” “WHY NOW!” Jinyoung moaned as he wearily picked himself off the bed. He got up and walked down the stairs. “Ah you can’t wear that again!” yelled Tokio. “What?” Jinyoung replied not noticing he slept in his same clothes last night. “Go shower,” smiled Tokio. So Jinyoung did as his father told him and went to the shower, after he changed his clothes and eaten breakfast the time was about 7:26am. “Argh,” He mumbled as he slouched on the white leather sofa. “Come on then you don’t want to be late for your first day at school,” Tokio smiled to his son. Jinyoung pulled himself off the sofa and onto his feet. “Let’s go come on,” Tokio said pushing his son into the car. The short ride to school was silent as Jinyoung slowly dozed off; he was awakened by his dad shaking him franticly trying to wake him up. “Come on get out!” Tokio shouted pushing Jinyoung out of the car. “Ok I’m going I’m going,” Jinyoung yawned. As he stepped out of the car he grabbed his bag and walked to the gate. Meanwhile Dongwoo and Tomomi sat at their desk like all the others awaiting the teacher’s instructions. Tomomi sat still staring out the window while Miss Hyeon walked into class followed my Jinyoung. As Tomomi refocused her attention to Miss Hyeon she recognised the boy that was standing next to her. “Would you like to introduce yourself to the class,” smiled Miss Hyeon. “Hello my name is Jinyoung Jung. I am from Seoul South Korea,” Jinyoung introduced himself. He then sat down at the back of the class. After science finished, Dongwoo and Tomomi waited outside the class for Jinyoung. As Jinyoung walked out of class he realised Tomomi and Dongwoo’s faces and immediately started to feel his cheeks turn bright red. Tomomi also stood in silence staring at Jinyoung. Dongwoo was getting hungry so he dragged the two outside for recess. Tomomi and Dongwoo walked to where they usually sat to study, Tomomi and Dongwoo were greeted by their other friend Mami Sasusaki. Mami had been friends with Dongwoo and Tomomi since grade 3 “Hey guys!” Mami shouted from the tree they always sat under to study and eat. “Mami, are you feeling better?” Tomomi smiled. “Oh ya, I just had a head ache,” Mami replied, “Tomomi?” She said pulling Tomomi to the other side of the tree. “Whoa, that new guy is hot!” Mami grinned sneakily. “Mami, what about Minho? Have you completely forgotten him already,” Tomomi snapped. “No of course not he’s only gone for two weeks but this morning I woke up and I had 48 missed calls from him and 60 wait 61 text messages.” Min Ho Lee (nickname-Minho) was in the grade above Dongwoo, Jinyoung, Tomomi and Mami; he was also Mami’s boyfriend. Minho’s class had gone on a two week lecture trip to Tokyo. “It’s not fair Tomi, first Dongwoo and now the new guy. You’re so lucky,” “Lucky, no I don’t think so,” “AHRG! Anyway you need to make Dongwoo your boyfriend quick, because the dance is coming up soon,” Mami giggled. “WHAT!!! NO WE’RE JUST FRIENDS!!!!!!!!” “What about him?” Mami said pointing at Jinyoung. “Jin?” “YA, he’s perfect, but so is Dongwoo,” “NO MAMI JUST SHUT UP, I don’t want a boyfriend!” Tomomi shouted she could feel her checks turn bright red. After recess Dongwoo took Jinyoung to their next class while Mami dragged Tomomi to her next class. Dongwoo and Jinyoung arrived in front of C4 for their 3 period maths lesson while Tomomi and Mami went to their class in A2. “So how do you like Osaka?” Dongwoo smiled. “I think it’s an amazing city, but I haven’t seen much yet only the coast, since I only arrived here two days ago,” Jinyoung replied. “Well you could come with me and Tomomi tomorrow we’ll show you around. We usually play basketball on Saturdays, you should come,” Dongwoo offered, “um…sure why not,” Jinyoung said with a smile. They sat through their classes until lunch, Jinyoung followed Dongwoo to where they sat a recess with Mami and Tomomi, Tomomi was sitting in front of the tree alone reading a very big history text book. “Hey, Tomi,” Dongwoo said plopping down beside Tomomi. “Hi,” Tomomi replied still concentrating on her book. Jinyoung stood in silence staring at Tomomi and trying to come up with something to say that would make him sound like a nervous freak around Tomomi. “You can sit down,” Tomomi smiled to Jinyoung. “Oh right sorry,” he laughed. “MOMI, I GOT YOU SOME BUN-BUN ROLLS!” Mami shouted as she released that Dongwoo and Jinyoung were sitting with her. “Hi,” Mami quickly smiled to Jinyoung ten started dragging Tomomi behind the tree. “OMG Mi, it’s not fair, it’s not fair it’s not fair. Dongwoo isn’t enough Jinyoung is practically in love with you!” Mami squealed. “Mami I told, wait how can you tell?” “Mi can’t you, he been like that since this morning when he first saw you,” “last night,” Tomomi mumbled “What,” “Nothing...” “I have a boyfriend and that’s what he was like when I first spoke to him,” Mami said looked back to the boys who were still on the other side of the tree. “I don’t, what, wait what are you taking about?” Tomomi said with a puzzled look on her face. “You know he acts jittery, gives you a complement with realizing what he’s saying and gets embarrassed in front of you very easily.” Mami said checking her phone. Tomomi thought about what Mami had told her, and remembered the previous night when Jinyoung first spoke to her and said he though her name was cute. So Tomomi still thinking walked back around and sat down between Jinyoung and Dongwoo. Tomomi stared to eat her favourite food a Pandisa roll. Bun-bun rolls were very popular in Osaka, it was basically a sugary steamed dumpling, the dumpling’s outside was a kind of raw dough that was made of rice that would be crushed into a fine powder and mixed with fine sugar and sweet water. Bun-bun rolls were stuffed with different types of sweets mainly marshmallows and sometimes chocolate or soft gummy lollies, the dough would be made in many types of colours such as orange, green, pink, purple, blue, aqua, red or just simple plain white. Tomomi’s favourite Bun-bun rolls were the aqua ones that were filled with sweet soft white marshmallows. “YUM!” Tomomi smiled as she chowed down on the bluish blob of sweetness. “Here try some,” she said to Jinyoung as she split the rest of her dumpling in half and gave one half to Dongwoo and the other to Jinyoung. “Um…ok,” Jinyoung said putting the squishy dumpling into his mouth. “Wow, this is really nice!” “You like it?” “Ya, it’s so sweet,” he laughed. The four sat down eating the packet of Bun-bun rolls. After lunch they walked to their classes. At the end of the day the four met up outside the school gate.  Tomomi waved to Mami to get her attention as she walked up to them. “Hi,” Mami said quickly returning her focus to her phone. “Well we should go don’t you think Mami, Dongwoo,” Tomomi smiled. “Damn this stupid phone!” Mami yelled as she threw her phone on the grass. “Mami, you should stop throwing your phone around it’s gonna break badly,” Tomomi laughed. “ARGH!” Mami shouted. Mami was struggling to bend down to pick up her phone. “Come on, you guys, we should go home now,” Dongwoo smiled. Jinyoung stood in silence thinking of something to say or do. “I’ll meet you at the jetty on the beach ok,” Dongwoo said to Jinyoung. “Ok, um 10am,” “sure!” Dongwoo said with a smile. “Come on let’s go!” Mami snapped. “Bye,” Tomomi said nervously to Jinyoung. “Bye,” Jinyoung smiled back. Tomomi could feel her checks becoming red, so she started walking quickly to catch up to Mami and Dongwoo. Jinyoung sat down on the grass waiting for his dad. Jinyoung laid down on his bag thinking of what they were going to do tomorrow.
